OhCanada-ParticipantNot even close.
Chris McCullough has a very misunderstood game. He is a true PF first off all. He uses his length and quickness to get to spots on the floor before his opponents allowing him to get loose balls, steals, blocks, and offensive rebounds. Sort of like John Henson, Anthony Davis, Rudy Gobert, and Serge Ibaka for example. One huge difference is these guys are 230-250 pounds and Chris is probably 195 pounds. His legs are extremely thin and he needs to do some serious strength training.
Offensively he is crafty, he has touch, he gets easy baskets by running the floor and he has shown glimpses of a jumpshot which shows promise.
Before the injury I loved him as a prospect. I loved the idea of him adding 15 pounds by this time and what that strength and balance would do for his game. Nerlens Noel was drafted at like 205-210 pounds or something.
He has a large chance to bust and either way is a project but if a team feels they can get him stronger and add a lot of muscle to his body the guys potential is through the roof.

BiggysmallsParticipantYeah lets hope he’s better than PJ3
All depends on what team takes him. He’s gotta put on minimum 25 pounds to even be an effective backup on a good team. 200 pound PF isn’t going to cut it no matter how small the league is going.
He’s got a chance to be a good player if he’s given time. He was solid at Cuse and I’d venure to guess he wouldve averaged 12 points and 7 rebounds by the end of the year had he not gotten hurt. His last like 8 games before the injury were pretty bad but he’s got talent.

Lotto StudParticipantAs mentioned above. John Henson put on weight as well. If Henson can do it, anyone can do it. What I like about Chris McCullough is his aggressiveness to stay active in the paint. Once he expands himself, he could coast his entire career as a glue guy on a veteran team to takeover later on in his career like Brandan Wright in a Dallas situation.

GBeeParticipantI think he’ll end up just like him. Not much differentiates the two. Similar softness, motor, IQ (or lack of) and tendencies (both like to stray towards the perimeter even though they’re not that great from there).
Might as well call him PJ4.

sitlbitoParticipantHe’s a high risk high reward pick,or even a low risk if you pick him in the second round. What about Brooklyn at 29? They have very few first round picks in the next years, they could go with the high potential pick.
