ChicagoCaseyParticipant- Start Andre Iguodala over Harrison Barnes – Harrison Barnes main job is to hit the open jumper and contain LeBron James. As you see by watching the game he during terrible at both. LeBron James is backing him down at will. I know that LeBron James field goal percentage might be down, but it is unacceptable how easy LeBron is getting to the paint when Harrison Barnes is gaurding LeBron James. Harrison Barnes also is like 0-10 from the field the last 2 games combine, that’s also unacceptable if you can’t do either one of your main responsiblities. Andre Iguodala is playing LeBron James better, the Warriors have better energy and hunger whe Andre Iguodala us in the game as well. They cannot have LeBron James get to a quick start in the begining of games. If they put Andre Iguodala in LeBron would not have it as easy as he have it.
- Play David Lee more and Andrew Bogut less – This is a bad series for Bogut and he’s not the same player that he was in the Houston series. The Warriors need energy, players that want to play for 4 quarters, rebounding, and some offensive power in the front court. David Lee would bring that and he will cause a matchup problem with Timofey Mozgov. David Lee wants to play and he played one heck a game last night. I felt he was one of the main reasons why they turned the game around and made it competitive.
- Adjust the rotations – Steve Kerr cannot have both Steph Curry and Klay Thompson on the bench at the same time. They lose scoring firepower and they lose alot of shooting by having a backcourt of Shaun Livingston and a Barbosa. By doing this they will always have a legit scorer on the floor that can erupt at any time.
Those are three main adjustments that Steve Kerr must make or they will lose the series. I still fell confident that Golden State will still win this series. The Cavs have made it tougher than I might have imagine, But I loved what I saw in the late 3rd quarter on from the Warriors. Steph Curry got his shot back, Andre Iguodala was playing great, and David Lee was during some positive things in the court.
The Warriors need to start off faster than they did in the past 3 games. If they start off hot believe they can blow the game ride open and I cannot see them looking back. The Cavs are playing phenomenal basketball and LeBron having the best scoring finals in NBA history, But I still have question marks. Can LeBron keep doing this throughout the finals because of the minutes he’s playing in the paint. Will the Cavs be mentally tired and phyiscal tired with only playing 7 guys.
I just fell Steph Curry got his groove back and he didn’t have it the past week. I fell like the Warriors would be up 3-0 if he could hit his jumpers. And now it’s falling. It wouldn’t be shocking if the Warriors win 3 straight, but I have the Warriors winning game 4 and 5, losing game 6, and winning game 7 at home.

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantI agree with the last 2 but Barnes has to start for continuity purposes and for fit. If Barnes comes off of the bench, you have no one that can greate offense for the Warriors, that was Steve Kerr’s reason for bringing Iggy off of the bench in the first place, maybe have a shorter leash with Barnes in the first quarter but don’t put him on the bench.
An adjustment I would make is pressure Delly, he can’t dribble, he was pressured into 6 turnovers in game 2, but tonight they didn’t pressure him enough.
Also I would continue to run Steph off of those double screens, like they did in the 2nd half. They got him open, he made some shots, then it seemed as if he got his stroke and his confidence back. If he’s making shots, it opens the floor for the rest of his teammates.
My last adjustment is just play streetball rules the refs are sucking anyway lol jk

mgreener_34ParticipantYou’re talking about the regular season, not playoffs. Steph Curry is going to be on the court for 40 out of 48 minutes, probably more in the next couple of games.
Continuity and sticking with the plan should have gone out the window at the end of the second overtime.
Don’t be Scott Brooks, Steve Kerr

ChicagoCaseyParticipantI disagree with keeping Iguodala on the bench. I disagree because Steph Curry will play close to 40 minutes. The Warriors having slow starts because they can’t hit shots. Putting Iggy in would change the pace of the game, will get better defense on LeBron James, and an extra ball handler. I would also try to have Andre Iguodala to guard LeBron James the lenght of the court to fasten the tempo of the game. Most of the time LeBron of Dellavadova just walks the ball up the court and just run the offense and waste clock. They should do the exact same thing to Dellavadova too.
One more thing I would do is play LeBron different almost every time he touches the ball. They should trap him in the post one play, then play him 1-0n-1 the next play, and play zone like the Mavs did the 2011 Heat.

mgreener_34ParticipantPretty much nailed it. One point I’d like to add though is that they def. need to add another ball handler/playmaker to the rotation. Whether that be Barbosa, Livingston or whoever, they need to take the pressure off of Curry. Right now Steph is crumbling under the pressure of being the main target of a high octage defensive unit, and his costly turnovers in crunch time are the result. I think starting Iggy would really help in this situation.

BiggysmallsParticipantWarriors have to speed the game up. Stop alllowing James to make every single important decision for Cleveland. I’d double him, trap him, take the ball out of his hands and force Smith/Shumpert/Jones/Delly to make decisions. Don’t give them wide open 3s but make them consistenly make decisions…I doubt they would make the right ones as often as James.
Agree with David Lee needing to play a little more. Green isn’t doing anything offensively from a playmaking standpoint and Iggy is getting left open to shoot. Lee can make plays in the middle of the floor offensively, can rebound and can’t be THAT bad defensively.

Rip255In defense of Bogut…the reason hes not keeping up in transition is because his guards run down and jack up quick 3s. I know theyre great shooters and make a high percentage…but this is the playoffs. That type of offense has NEVER been effective in the finals.
Slow it down at least 3 seconds and run a decent set….

pappmb93ParticipantI live in europe so i didnt watch game 3 live and I havent seen the replay yet, but what I felt the first 2 games was GSW leaving someone on island to defend James alone barely any help or double, I think they have to change from this "let Lebron beat us alone" mentality to a "let the rest of the cavs beat us" and send more doubles toward James in a smaller lineup and play a quick, scrambling defense with the other 3 while doubling, its easier said than done but thats something i’d try

sitlbitoParticipantIt’s not a matter fo Iguodala starting or not. It’s just that you can’t let Barnes on the floor at this point. I’m seriously wondering if he shouldn’t get a DNP in one game. He’s not giving them anything good right now.
