Hey guys, I’m new to the forum but I was just wondering what you guys think of my mock draft. I got a little sloppy with the second round but I tried my best to provide an explanation for as many picks I possibly could. Let me know what you guys think.

Welcome!  Good the have you here.

Regarding your mock draft, I see a few places where you could make some changes.

    – Kristaps going #4 seems a little unrealistic.  Although he has said he would love to play for the Knicks, they haven’t returned the sentiment.  I do realise everyone likes to throw in some spice to their mock drafts, but a more likely pick for the New York is Mudiay or Cauley-Stein if you’re feeling adventurous.

    – The first "mistake" I see on your mock draft is Cameron Payne going to the Pistons.  They have Brandon Jennings and hope to resign Reggie Jackson, two starting caliber point guards.  Payne just doesn’t fit.  What the Pistons need is shooters on the wing, something that Hezonja brings to the table.

    – RJ Hunter is going to far too high.  I would never put a guy who hangs his hat on shooting, yet is less than 30% 3 point shooter that high.  Put him in the late first round if you must, but I personally have him dropping out of there.  For a replacement, I’d recommend Bobby Portis.  The Celtics frontline lacks length and Portis brings that in spades.

I can’t comment on your second round as, like many people, I don’t have enough time to view every prospect in the draft.

Hezonja falling to 10? Miami would celebrate if that happens.

Ignore all the negativity, you did a good job. As a Celtics fan I would love to have RJ Hunter on the team and I think that where you have him going is realistic. I also like the idea of having Kaminsky in Milwaukee and Rozier in Brooklyn. No one here is going to get the draft 100% right so I think that you have done great.
