laarethekingsParticipantThe T Wolves should call the Blazers and offer a Flynn and Brewer for Bayless and Rudy Ferandez… they would still have a nice young combo G in Bayless and there new SG in Rudy it would also help them with Rubio. They would show him that they want to make him feel at home in Minnesota. And for the Blazers they would get there PG of the furture and Brewer ( lets not joke, dude is a bust). I think that would work well for both teams.

Knicksboy34Participantthat doesnt make sense…Rubio does not wanna stay in Minny…if you trade Flynn, Rubio has all the leverage.

Stanford hoopsParticipantminny already has one of rubios teammates (drafted him in the second round) and yet he still hasnt reported to the team..i don think bringing in an olympic teammate fixes the problem

Knicksboy34ParticipantNorel is from the Netherlands… he is not a teammate of Rubio

gatorheelsParticipantactually Norel & Rubio played on the same international team DKV Joventut….so they do know each other and they were teammates

Meditated StatesParticipantFlynn is going to be the better point anyways. Brewer did not look good his first year and was hurt from the start of the 2nd. It is too early to call him a bust, but he could be on his way if he does not improve tremedously next season. Package Rubio, he’s just like Steve Francis not wanting to play for the Grizzlies let him go, and get something for him.

JNixonParticipantIf Rubio didnt want to play in Memphis and Minnesota, why would he want to play in Portland?

Stanford hoopsParticipantiguodala9 that is a very good point..so far all anyone knows is he wants to play in new york..whats funny is everyone jumps all over jennings( the joe budden thing shouldnt count since he wasnt told he was being recorded) but gives rubio a pass

IndianaBasketballParticipantSend Rudy to the Pacers, where he could start at the 2! He’d be a perfect fit alongside Granger!

birdman113the only problem is if the Blazers get Brewer, and sign Turkoglo they will have 5 pretty good small forwards.

JzNYLAParticipantWhy is Rudy mad?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/01/2009 - 12:51pm #174032

llperezMy guess would be because he thinks Turkoglu would take his minutes and possible his money for when he becomes a free agent himself.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWhy wouldn’t you come to Portland? Sure the weather is bad but were the future of the nba.

praimalParticipantrudy said today in a press conference in spain that he dont think coming back to europe is a step back in his carrer.he pays half a million of his own money to play in portland, and it´s going to make 1.1mill next year in a team that already have batum as a starter.if they sing hedo its going to be 6 players for 2 spots so someone needs to be traded.rudy is cheaper than outlaw and better than webbster and batum so it´s unlikely rudy it´s the first opion for portland in trade talks but i understand why rudy thinks going back to europe and make 5-6mill(euro)in 3 years for a euroleague contender is not a step back in his carrer.
i like the minny trade and i love to see rudy playing with ricky again since ricky NEVER say he dont want to play for the T_wolves,just his agent who whants ricky in NY(i undertand why),but ricky is under contract now and with the buyout issue on spanish courts his lawyers probably told him that go to minny and put another teams jersey it´s not a good idea.
weather?nahhhhh!! NY it´s not spanish beach either.

Stanford hoopsParticipanti just read a coupel articles…its not his choice to go back right now because hes still in his rookie contract and fbia rules state he cant just leave unless portland lets him..its not the same as a restricted free agent or unristricted free agent so pretty muhc all he can do is ask to be let out of his contract or ask to be traded

llperezobviously Roy is the sg. But at the sf spot they have batum, outlaw, webster, fernandez, and now they are apparently looking to go after guys like Hedo or Ariza. All those guys can play, and I would’nt want to stay there either. They need to look to package some guys so they can get a legitimate starter or something. I’m sure plenty of teams would love to add Rudy Fernandez.
