Anton123ParticipantWill 2010 NBA draft be better than this years draft?
If yes, can you compare 2010 draft to some previous (e.g. star studded 2008, 2003 1996) or normal draft (2006, 2005) or bad (2000)
Just thoughts, of course you can’t know for sure0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/01/2009 - 6:35am #173826

JNixonParticipantIt should be, there seem to be better players from top to bottom.

Rubio is a beastParticipantYou cant say it will be the best draft over 300 days before it happens. Some of these top players might fall apart, and have teams discover their weaknesses. In football, Marcus McCauley went from a top 10 pick to a 3rd round pick. Your getting way ahead of yourselves. Let the draft play out. And also, you cant really tell how good a draft is until 2-3 years after it happens. You might think this years draft was pretty bad, but it might turn out that its a very good draft. Is a draft that seems like its really good but only 20 players become good NBA players better than a draft that seems low on talent that has 30 players become good NBA players? So many people think that this years draft isnt very good. What if Griffin, Thabeet, Harden, Evens, Rubio, Flynn, and Curry all become great players? The 2009 draft might also have some Tom Brady’s in it. Likewise, the 2010 draft might have some Ryan Leaf’s in it. (2nd overall pick in football that had a horrible career)

bluedevils12Participanti think th draft wll be better becuz of a better coup of players. i think a few of these guys could go on to be all stars where as the 200 draft there are only a few i can see being allstars

Stanford hoopsParticipantexactly…..but you have to realize most peopel on here just go with what ever the writers or talk radio people say..the same ones who say this or that guy will be number one or two without even seeing them play in a game other then you tube clips and all star games

Knicksboy34Participantdude stop comparing it too football…on paper…this draft is the best since 03 and this draft maybe deeper than 03

Stanford hoopsParticipantno one knows what this draft is gonna be so peopel need to stop it..one thing next years draft doesnt have is lebron wade or a carmelo..not one player is on any of thoses level..and no one knows how good they will be because they havnt even played against real competition yet and i noticed a trend with the young people on here..to them most of the current or future guys are suppossedly better then the past …you cant judge current or future till they have proved something..you can say you think but saying it will is idiotic

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantYou can’t say this stuff until after March Madness.

Knicksboy34Participantthats not true…

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantYou don’t even know who is staying in college or not.

Stanford hoopsParticipantyou can say what you think but theres no way you can say this will be without no proof to back it up…and with none of the freshmen even playing a game or the season even starting there is no proof..point blank untill that happens its just maybes

gatorheelsParticipantNext years draft has more talent than this year IMO. 2010 draft is loaded with big PF & Centers…..something this draft was extremely lacking in. 2010 draft will have probably 10 guys or more that can play Center while the 2009 draft only had 3 or so. Better PGs in the 2009 draft though.

Knicksboy34Participantyou can estimate…i mean Favors, Wall, Cousins and guys like that are almost shoe-in to leave
Aldrich and Brackins are almost shoe-ins to leave….

Stanford hoopsParticipantbasically you can guess cuz thats all it is at this point till a player proves it..you can call it what u want but in the end its nothing but youre opnion/guess with zero facts to back it up..no different then some one saying some freshman in highschoool will be the number one pick 5 years from now

Knicksboy34Participantso who do you think will go 1st in 2010?
Barring Injury, Im 100% sure Wall is coming out, he said it in slam mag….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/01/2009 - 12:26pm #174009

gatorheelsParticipantJohn Wall is going 1st….unless the team that gets the 1st pick just absolutely needs a big man and is stacked at PG already
I don’t know much about that international dude yet….I havent even watched him play any so I can’t comment on him. He seems to be a consensus top 5 pick right now though from the mock drafts I’ve seen.
I just don’t see Ed Davis being a #1 pick ever but…of course I could be wrong. Same goes for Favors.
My $ is on Wall to be #1

Stanford hoopsParticipantill go the smart route and wait till these highschoolers play against real competition and not against weak hs comp..ill be watchign wall closely seeing as he wasnt ranked nor talked about much during his real senior year but ranked high and talked about during his 5th year ( and im sure most of the higschoolers that were ranked high would be in the same boat if they had a extra year to play in highschool)
