Boozer Stays With Jazz

All of a sudden Toronto looks like a contender…guess it’s a good thing they haven’t dealt Bosh.

IF hedo does go to toronto they would be a pretty solid team. Throw a shooter like Korver in the mix there and they would have a decent shot in the first round of the playoffs.

with OKC apparently planning to offer 5yrs 56mill to Millsap where would Jeff Green play. They are both PF and neither is large enough to play C. Would Green go to the bench and back up the 3 and 4?

I can’t believe OKC would offer Millsap 11 mill per. He is good and would fit in great there, but that is alot of money for a guy I don’t see as ever being a top 3 or 4 option on a playoff team. That reminds me of when Miami threw like 100 mill at Brian Grant. The economy and with teams losing money, you would think teams would cut back a little. That’s why Boozer did’nt opt out, because he probably realized the 13-15 mill per year he wanted was’nt out there.

i agree, that seems like way too much money for someone who will probably be a good rotation player and might mess up the teams chemistry, not to mention shift green out of position. I think OKC should see what the market for lee is and then make millsap an offer since millsap supposedly wants “david lee money”

Is cheap. But they will keep Millsap. Booze is only here for one more year this doesn’t change Utah’s long term plans. They aren’t stupid.

It used to be 10 mill a year was given out like nothing and any promising starter thought he could get it. The teams are losing money and the economy is no joke. With so many bad contracts already in the league, teams are gonna be more cautios then ever. Not only do these teams not want to pay luxury tax, but they see how hard it is to make trades and improve the team when you got guys making big money who are’nt living up to their contracts.

If Boozer and Okur honestly thought teams were gonna throw 12-15 mill per at them, they were mistaken. As the market continues to drop and teams realize that they don’t need to overpay in order to get good talent, the Ben Gordon’s of the world are gonna regret turning down all that money. It’s not that these players are’nt good, but how many teams have the money?

I’m so glad Boozer is staying another year. He is on my fantasy team and I like Deron Williams feeding him the ball. I expect he’ll try harder and play through injuries too since he’s in a contract year. What do you guys think he will average? I’m going with 22 and 11 or somehting like that. I think it’s a bad idea for the Thunder to offer that much to Millsap. I wonder if they plan on trading Jeff Green
