Dirk Nowitzki to Replace All-Star Anthony Davis

I have a lot of respect for Dirk, but there were more deserving players in the West. I’d have went with Zach Randolph or Mike Conley Jr.

Dirk hasn’t even been his team’s all-star year (Monta). I get the legacy and appeasing to the international audiences & all that, but the NBA has to stop with this always rewarding the same people. No way he’s more deserving of an all-star nod this year than Monta, Z-Bo, Conley, or even DeAndre Jordan.

but it shouldn’t of been Dirk. Monta has been more consistently their best player this season and really deserved to get his first birth. If not Monta, should’ve gone to a Memphis player. Dirk just hasn’t been an All star this season.

Man. I feel sorry for Monta. After he got hurt against the Clips I thought he was out throughout the All Star break an was surprised he played tonight and if healthy he really should have been there over Dirk who I love but he clearly isn’t as productive as Monta. 

Even Hayward or DeAndre could have been named and for sure Dirk would like to get some rest for a few days.

There is a chance that this is due the injury Monta recently has? May be they thought he would would have sit down too and didn’t want to replace an injured player with another injured one? I think they have wanted someone from the Mavs to be in it as they have the 7th best record with zero participant in the All-Star weekend Dirk was gr8 early on but he then slowed down .well many players get the "he is a legend" All-Star call so as a Mavs fan I am not dissapointed that Dirk got it once

 I agree Dallas deserved someone in the All Star reckoning on Monta is pretty much the best guy in the NBA yet to get an All Star nod. But it’s always good to see Dirk back in the mix and he is playing solid ball again this year and shows no real signs of slowing down, maybe the Commish felt he’d like to give Dirk one more All Star game as it could be one of his last chances to get in.

DeAndre Jordan would have been a solid choice too if they had decided that it was going to be a straight frontcourter for frontcourter replacement.
