Something something basketballParticipantMinnesota gets:
Kelly olynyk
Avery Bradley
Gerald Wallace
Boston gets:
Ricky rubio
Anthony bennett
Chase budinger
Protected first rounder
Reason it works for Boston is they will get a legit point guard to replace rondo. He’s a terrific defender and a great passer obviously. Bostons offense and current roster has tons of spacing and easy lanes to the basket that can put rubio over. Bennett still has some decent upside. He’s big. Long. Athletic. Just needs to find a defined role andi think Stevens can get that from him.
Reason it works for minnesota is the need for a stretch big that can pair with dieng long term(my assumption is Thad will be gone this time next year). Olynyk would fit seamless on the roster. Active on the glass. Above average 3 pt. Shooter. Solid at creating his own shot. Great court vision. Bradley can do most the point guard duties but with wiggins and shabazz being more ball dominate wings, Bradley would pair well as off ball point who can knock down 3s and still replace most of rubio s defensive production.

Mr. HookShotParticipantReally? So Boston gets the best player in the deal (Rubio), dump Wallace’s contract and get an additional first rounder?

nzsiderParticipantMinnesota choose to build a team around Rubio – Why would they dump him AND a first rounder for a bunch of crap?!
Boston are going to back Marcus Smart and shouldn’t look to replace him. If Smart can learn to hit 30 – 40% from behind the arc I believe he becomes a legit starting PG.

WarblingSpamalopeParticipantNo. A thousand times. Have you seen Rubios jumper since he came back? There is actually arc on it. Now that he is a threat to score he is even more valuable.
