MopgrassParticipantByron Scott finally started Jordan Clarkson. Long overdue. They should have done this the day they demoted Jeremy Lin to the bench.
I think he could end up solid. He can get to the rack at will, he can shoot okay, and I think he has great potential on defense. He’s too ball dominant and when he doesn’t dominate the ball, he hands it off too early in the play and disappears. He needs to find the middle ground.
Starting him and Sacre today was a huge change of direction. Finally, the Lakers were forced to move in the right direction. Clarkson might end up the only positive thing to come out of this year (other than drafting Randle).

TrillaParticipantI really liked him coming into the draft, and I thought that the Lakers stole him in the second round. I think he can turn into a nice player in the league

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantGlad to see him finally getting some burn. Since the Lakers are basically just playing for lottery position at this point, might as well let him get his feet wet and see if he’s a player worth keeping as they rebuild. He has excellent size and quickness for the position but his decision making is still a work in progress.
Not sure why they are starting Sacre. I think its pretty clear by now he’ll never be a decent NBA player. I’d much rather see those minutes go to players like Black or Davis, who have actual potential to be contributors. I also have no idea why Scott insists on playing Ryan Kelly at the 3 spot, when he clearly should be playing strictly as a stretch four. Watching him attempt to guard guys like LeBron James and Kevin Durant off the dribble is just painful to watch.

MopgrassParticipantBlack is hurt. I’d bet he gets the minutes over Sacre when he comes back. They also might be trying to up Sacre’s stock. They were rumored to have offered Sacre to get Dion Waiters (ludicrous).
