ItsVictorOladipoParticipantDon’t look now, but Wiggins has scored at least 20 points in 9 of his last 11 games! So far in January he’s averaging 21.4 PPG, 5 RPG, 3 APG and 1.6 SPG.
He’s starting to put it together and be consistent every night. By the end of the year I expect him to have around 17 PPG and run away with the Rookie of the Year Award.
I’m actually kinda excited for the Slam Dunk competition this year

nick5354ParticipantI have learnt to never ever get excited about the Slam Dunk competition. Every year I think ‘wow this year it actually might be cool’ but then it happens and it is a huge let down.

MopgrassParticipantHonestly, how many ways can you dunk?
To be original, now you have to have an awful gimmick… like dunking while carrying a teammate or tying your shoes mid-air.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantThe problem with the dunk contest last year was, even though they had some pretty good competitors, the format was whack. Just go back to the free for all, not this conference against conference trash.
The injuries to Kevin Martin and Pek have given a lot of the young guys on Minny oppurtunity to step up, and Wiggins especially has done a very good job of embracing the role as being a #1/#2 scoring option alongside Mo Williams. His jumper has really good form on it, with a few years of NBA coaching and experience behind him, he is going to be an absolute knock down shooter. The thing that will really propel him into superstardom though is if he can develop a reliable handle and the ability to take guys to the rack consistently and abuse his length and athletic advantage he nearly always has on his defender. Great to see him excelling the past few weeks after a little bit of rookie struggles.

TRC1991ParticipantMinnesota’s got a bright future:
Rubio, Lavine, Wiggins, Muhammad, Dieng, Young (?), Pekovic

OhCanada-ParticipantMinny could hold the dunk contest with Lavine, Bazz, Wiggins and Bennett alone.

Memphis MadnessParticipantHow many first round picks did the Minny Dunkers get for Kevin Love?
Not one, not two…
