Syke, is a trade idea for the Thunder!

Reggie Jackson and Kendrick Perkins for

Jose Calderon, Prigioni and Cole Aldridge

    or add Lamb and get

    Brandan Knight and Larry Sanders

or add Lamb in and get

    Aaron Afflalo and Wilson Chandler

stay competitive long and short term. Calderon has made 40% of his threes in the last four straight years. And 7 of the last 9 years and 50% once or twice. The Knicks get Riggie Jackson with only a 5 million dollar cap hold and could still sign 2 max guys with him, Melo and Hardaway Jr still on the roster. Reggie Jackson from 3 this year 29% and Waiters 25%.

Melo likes threes alot more than they like him, plus he and Hardaway are both score first types that are already possibly having issues playing with one another and you want them to add a score first PG with a so-so at best three shot? As much as I hate the Knicks, that would not seem to make much sense. Unless you are taking the typical desperate Knick approach of "sign any marketable player you can regardless of fit, age or health and the basketball gods will surely make it work out for us, after all we’re the Knicks and they need us to be great".

More or the pg that could defend and come for cheap because Melo swallows up the cap. And dont forget Brooks doesn’t run any offense with the first or second team.

So your saying this is a bad deal for the Knicks? Because they could let him walk and be freed up of Calderons salary over the next few years.

The Knicks should trade for a bunch of good restricted free agents. by them having low cap holds they can sign a bunch of free agents because the cap holds are low then resign the players for more like Monroe (too late now but for the idea sake) or Reggie Jackson for say 14 and 10 million respectively.
