RUDEBOY_Participantonce again becuz of all the talented point guards in the west….some deserving players wont make the team….
according to the latest all star returns kobe and curry are the starters…harden, westbrook and cp3 look like the 3 reserves..that means conley, thompson and lilliard who are all having fantastic seasons and key contributors to their teams success will be left off…..

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantLou Williams will make it onto the east squad, along with Lowry. Number one team in east has to have at least 2 all stars haha. But Teague should, but might not. Maybe Vucevic gets in, idk.. Wall should be starting tho. The fan vote looks legit as well from the first returns

Andrew1984ParticipantLou Williams averages 14.7 points and 1.5 assists. In the history of the All-Star Game, I doubt a guard has ever made it with numbers like that.

Memphis MadnessParticipantLooking forward to Gasol vs. Gasol. That should be a good matchup. I don’t think two brothers have ever started against each other in the all-star game. … I think only one pair of brothers have ever been all-stars at the same time, period.
I know the All Star Game doesn’t really mean much, but if I were a top shelf MVP candidate this year I would go out, and try to get the ASG MVP trophy as a way to kickstart an MVP campaign going into the final stretch.
The MVP race, right now, looks like it is between Harden, Curry, and Marc Gasol. LeBron is just a bit outside. Russell Westbrook is coming on strong. John Wall should probably be higher. Anthony Davis has a great PER and monster stats (although not too much different than last year) and could easily finish in the top 3. Kyle Lowry will get credit as will Pau Gasol. The out-of-nowhere MVP candidate — why not Jimmy Butler? GREAT stats and the Bulls are playing very well. I can still see Kevin Durant making a push at his second MVP trophy — but that might just take away from Westbrook.
Hopefully by the All Star break we will get a clearer picture of who the MVP front runner (or front runners) are. Then maybe they can decide it on the court at the All Star Game.
It is not a "real" game, but I would definitely give props to a guy who decides to get serious and go "all out" in the All Star Game. An ASG MVP trophy could tip the scales…

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantNo way Durant isn’t starting if he’s healthy enough to play.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantActually Durant didnt get as many votes from the fans as I thought so he might not start. Still if he comes back soon and plays at a high level over the next 15 games I have a hard time believing he won’t get selected

Memphis MadnessParticipantDurant has only played 9 games which hurts. But, he is only averaging around 22 points and 5 boards. I would rather reward Cousins, or Dirk, or one of the Spurs. Or, Klay Thompson.
He can’t miss many more games (if any) AND he needs to pick up his production.
So, unless he gets voted in by the fans, I would have a few people ahead of him on the all-star ballot.
KD is also only averaging 28 minutes a game. I could see them trying to rest Durant as much as possible so they can keep him as fresh as possible for the playoffs.

IndianaBasketballParticipantMarc Gasol should definitely be a starter, but something tells me Kevin Durant will catch him in the fan vote. Gasol would then be named a reserve. Nothing against Dwight Howard and DeMarcus Cousins, but I’d go with Tim Duncan over both of them.
On the East, I’m interested to see how it goes. Would the coaches really snub Kevin Love? Despite his struggles, he’s averaging 17 and 10, plus has 16 double doubles at this point. Will the Bucks get an All-Star? Brandon Knight has been very good and who thought the Bucks would actually be good?

Sharp ShooterParticipantI would like to think Drummond will be a wild card if the pistons can hop in the playoff picture. Also I think somehow KLove is going to "Sneak" into the ASG
