BPA. This team has so much going on and will have so many prominent pieces shopped and potentially moved that the first objective would be to acquire talent that they are sure will produce and continue to develop longterm.

With that being said it makes no sense for them to acquire another big that does not fit in well with Drummond. If it is a best fit I think what Detroit needs to do is assess their talent and see who the most valuable piece on the team is (Andre Drummond). Now what do you need to build around him?

Maybe a pass first PG (Mudiay).

A glue guy at SF that can shoot (Stanley Johnson).

    Or a stretch PF (Porzingis).

Those are my top 3 options for Detroit. I would love to see Porzingis and Drummond as a frontcourt for Detroit.

Personally I think Mudiay should be at the top of their list. Their biggest need (among many, many others) is consistency at the point. Then go for wing scoring or a stretch 4 type.

Of course, this all depends on the trade market and whether Detroit can move Jennings, Smith or Monroe. If any or all of those players leave, it will change the whole draft landscape for them.

A new potential franchise point guard like Mudiay. Get rid of the cancer that is Brandon Jennings.

    Stanley Johnson.

The dude really impressed me with his athleticism/body-type and demeanour in the few games I got to see with him.

I think hes the perfect complement to KCP and Drummond.

I think Jennings has looked worse because he’s stuck trying to make the 3-big lineup work, although of Mudiay is on the board then Detroit should jump on him.

Towns could be in the conversation if Monroe is gone, but I like Mudiay or Stanley Johnson for them this year, though I am reading a lot about KP in Europe. With that being said, I think Spencer Dinwiddie is one to keep an eye on down the line. He can play. With Smith gone and the team looking to turn the page, I think they should fork over some of Jennings’ minutes to Spence. Also, Stanley Johnson and Justice Winslow are fairly similar players. He may be in the discussion too.
