TarHeelRavenParticipantTony Bennett has done an absolutely masterful job in Charlottesville. I believe he has exactly zero hamburger all-Americans on his team. Justin Andersen, Malcolm Brogdon and Anthony Gill are really really good. They haven’t played any truly elite teams yet but they have won at Maryland and had a huge win at VCU where VCU rarely ever loses at home. This team is an elite defensive unit. They shut down HAVOC on the road and they just held Harvard team that was in the NCAA tournament last year to 27 points total. It doesn’t look like they are missing Joe Harris and Akil Mitchell at all. People need to be reminded that it is UVA, not Duke or Carolina that is defending ACC and ACC tournament champions. League play in the ACC this year will be an absolute war with Duke, Louisville, Notre Dame, UVA and Carolina, which had a huge win against Ohio State yesterday in Chicago. I like UVA to compete for a second straight ACC league title.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantTony Bennett is a real deal big time college basketball coach. It’s a shame he left my cougs after leading them to the sweet 16 where it is nearly impossible to get recruits compared to other school in the pac 12

llperezagreed. I had super respect for that guy when he was at wazzu and what he was able to do their despite how much they struggle recruiting. He had the cougs ranked top 25 all year and briefly top 10 and advance to the sweet 16 like you said and that was with kyle weaver, derrick low, aaron baynes and taylor rochestie leading the way. Certainly all very good ball players but not exactly a star studded group. Glad to see him doing his thing at UVA
