valentineWhy is he not listed in either the 2015 or 2016 mock drafts? He’s not staying at Gonzaga for more than two years. He probably goes in the lottery.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantDefinitely agree. I put him in the 1st round of my 2015 mock. Don’t necessarily see him leaving this year but he could and if he waited until 2016, he’s top 10

Memphis MadnessParticipantTwo things working for him is obviously his name. Another, Marc Gasol’s great season as an all-round center who combines old school fundamentals with medium range shooting and great passing.
You can say, this guy plays like Marc Gasol and is a member of the Sabonis family. That would carry a lot of weight. It’s a copy cat league, too.
As opposed to say, Frank Kaminsky, who you can say is nothing more than Kevin Pittsnoggle 2.0 even if that is not true.

TRC1991ParticipantIf he wasn’t in college and was just playing Lithuania having the same success, he’d be in the conversation for the #1 pick…
It’s hysterical how a European player somehow becomes worse in the eyes of scouts when he comes and plays in the U.S.

King CaluchaParticipantI like all the small things Sabonis does. He screens well, he’s a great rebounder, solid post defender. He’s not going to be a star in the NBA, I don’t see him putting 25 and 12, but I can definitely see him putting 16-10, which is still great. Worth a late lotto/mid 1st in my opinion, just based on consistency.
Some people don’t understand that playing against grown man is not the same as playing with college kids. Young guys don’t get much playing time in Europe, so there’s a lot of hidden potential over there.
