Happy Birthday Larry Legend

 Big happy 58th birthday to the "Legend" Larry Bird, my favourite player of all time and in my opinion the greatest player of all time.  Those less familiar with Bird tend to think of him as just a three point shooting specialist a more glorified Kyle Korver.  Real hoop heads know that he was nothing short of a genius on the basketball court, shooting was just one of his many strong points, let’s not forget his ability to rebound and his other world passing ability.  

By far my favourite attribute of his was his ability to just fake guys out of their Converse sneakers, I have yet to see another player who could fake someone out as well as Bird. He may not have always had the athletic or physical advantages on the court but he always had the mental edge over other players.  You know he was for real when you hear Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson speak of his abilities in reverential tones, in fact I’ve never heard Jordan speak more glowingly of a player than when he speaks of the Legend.
