AderitoParticipantThe Charlotte Hornets have been aggressive in making trade calls as they begin the season slowly, according to sources.
The Hornets are searching for upgrades on the wing and at power forward. Anyone other than Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson is available, though they’re also unlikely to consider trading Lance Stephenson.
The Hornets didn’t do enough in the offseason to fix their perimeter shooting issues and that has caused their offense to stagnate.

prophetmeirParticipantHe is horrible on Offense but team best assist and rebounds is far from horrible. New coach new system new player who alot of them are one dimensional, I still like the cody zeller and gerlad henderson maybe a second rounder for david west trade , probally would have worked if Indy would be playing worse.
Also Jason Thompson for SAC would be perfect with Hornets heard it first.

RUDEBOY_Participantthey surprised alot of people last season..and teams have scouted them and know how to slow them down…charlotte needs to make adjustments…
they dont have the chemistry and the same defensive intensity they had last season…last year they were 5th in the nba in defense, this year they’re 24th..part of it might be due to mkg only appearing in 6 games and losing mcroberts in free agency…
mcroberts helped with their passing and his shooting helped spread the floor…
free agents that signed during the summer will be eligible for trades on december 15th i think….it’ll be interesting to see if they will ship lance out …

Magic JordanParticipantAs a Laker fan I would gladly trade Jordan Hill for (insert asset here). I think he could help a team like the Hornets or the Suns. As long as he waives his no trade clause.
Of course the Lakers current most valuable trade chip has a no trade clause……. Gahhhh

MopgrassParticipantMy Laker thoughts exactly. 1st rounder or Zeller for whatever junk the Hornets want to send. If they accidentally get someone who can help the Lakers win, they’ll have to find a 3rd team to take him.

IndianaBasketballParticipantLance Stephenson is receiving a lot of criticism for his low shooting percentage, but Kemba Walker is shooting no better. 36% FG and 21% from 3PT… To be such a poor 3PT shooter and still attempt over 4 per game is nuts. I’m not impressed with him.

JoeWolf1Lance has yet to score 20 points in a game this year, and has 9 single digit scoring games.
When compared to last season at this time he had gone for 20+ once, and only been held to single digits 4 times.
I understand he’s trying to take more of a point forward role for the Hornets, but it’s clearly not working. Charlotte is ranked 25th in scoring, and only dropping 93.6 points per game…down 3 points from last season.
They’re having some serious chemistry issues. I think shopping around is a good bet. MKG was really doing well for them, it’s a shame he went out so early in the season. I have to think they’d have a few more wins if he were still suiting up every night.
Since MKG went out Charlotte has been allowing 103.25 points per game, and when he was playing the Hornets only allowed 96.3 per game.
They have a lot of issues, and it’s not too late to try and right the ship. I say shop around.

tuck243ParticipantOr you strictly speaking from a stats standpoint? The main issue from the games I’ve watched is that Lance maybe need to run the PG position from Kemba… The ball rotation is much better with Lance initating the play… I’m not trying to put this all on Kemba, but I think its jumping the gun trading anyone right now… Especially Lance…

JoeWolf1Not saying they should trade Lance, just that he needs to look more for himself, and that the Hornets should look to make a move. Henderson seems to be the prime candidate IMO.

drpg913ParticipantHenderson is the Prime canidate if you’re the Hornets but who wants Henderson around the league? Only way I’m taking Henderson is if there is a draft pick attached to him. He can’t shoot and he’s not a good enough defender/rebounder/energy guy to play.

TRC1991ParticipantBad time to trade Lance. his value is down.
nobody wants marvin williams or gerald henderson’s contract. They would want MKG but he’s still getting better and too young to part with

r377ParticipantJohn Henson makes sense at PF next to Al Jeff. The bucks are not giving him much playing time
