Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantIf the 2009 draft was redone today obviously the top 3 picks would be Blake Griffin, James Harden and Steph Curry. Since all 3 are franchise level superstar players, you could make the argument for all 3 as the first pick. Who would you take first, second and third?
I would take Curry first, Griffin second, and Harden third.

trelos6ParticipantCurry, Griffin, Harden
DeRozan, Lawson, Gibson,
Holiday, Evans, Mills,
Hill, Beverly, Jennings,
Teague, Collison
Just missing lottery: Meeks, Rubio, Thornton, Budinger

lalailaParticipantthe most interesting thing about this draft for me is that it turned out to be good very very good class..
you see those three as a bordeline superstars and DeRozan Holiday already made allstar game plus Lawson and Teague are playing pretty close to that level..and even then you still have huys like Evans Gibson Rubio
and it was said it’s draft the of Blake only..
you will never know (like we don’t know if this year’s class is really than good especially after pretty slow and injured start)

username_takenParticipantI’d do Curry first then Griffin for the purpose of fit circa 2009, but overall possibly Griffin over Curry

Memphisboy14ParticipantTop 5
1.) Blake Griffin (Skilled big men are a rarity in this day and age.)
2.) Stephen Curry (I can’t put him at number 1. That’s not a slight to him but I just think that great PG’s are at such a premium right now.)
3.) James Harden (Great player but his efficiency still leaves something to be desired)
4.) DeMar DeRozan (Great wings don’t really come into the NBA as often anymore.)
5.) Tyreke Evans
Just Missed: Jrue Holiday, Taj Gibson, Ty Lawson, Ricky Rubio

Champzilla21ParticipantId go Griffin first great big man who can do everything except shoot 3’s,
Curry second while not great at D puts in a good effort. He is the best 3 point shooter on the planet bending defenses by just moving and is a probably the hardest off the bounce player in the league to defend
Harden third, laughable defense but this year has shown alot of improvement. Gets to the line more times then Lebron a game and can generally just put the ball in the hoop
Ty lawson, not the biggest or best shooter but does everything well but has been good for 15 pts and 6 dimes a game for his career and keeps getting better.
Taj Gibson has consistently been one of the best 6th men the past couple years playing great D and in the past 2 years started to score a lil more. To me Derozan really isnt that great. Long twos, suspect at defense and what was supposedly his best year last year had a 42% fg while regressing this year albit in only 16 games to 39%
