TarHeelRavenParticipantmade a big statement today with a convincing 91-78 win over the Cavs. Wall was absolutely sensational with 28 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. It is still very very early and there is a ton of basketball to be played, but the Wizards let the Cavs and the Eastern Conference know that they are a force to be reckoned with. I don’t know if Wall and Beal took this game personally with Waiters saying him and Kyrie were a better backcourt. Wall and Beal are the better backcourt and right now and it’s not even close. Wall has become a leader and a great player. I think he used getting cut from the FIBA games this summer as motivation and he is playing great. The Wiz are 8-3 and looking very good right now.

kanuflengParticipantNo. 1 advantage for the Wiz right now is that they are playing as team. Each player has their defined roles. They got great chemistry and also included a veteran in Pierce. Wall is leading them and Beal is back. They had a good game but also because the Cavs right now is absolutely a work in progress. They got great offense though today was a bad one. But most of their wins were outscoring opponents. But once offense does not click, for sure they will lose because they got absolutely no defense. Their Big 3 have not clicked yet. Irving just wants to score. LeBron has been careless with the ball, shooting it poorly and not playing hard defensively. Love has not found his role in their offense. 8 shot attempts today. 3rd straight loss and it looks like they are frustrated. Well, back to the Wiz. They’re a pretty good team, if they continue playing like this, they’ll be top 3 for sure in the East along with the Raptors who just won big against the Bucks today.

casey38rayParticipantRight now Toronto and Washington are the top 2 teams in the East. Once Bradley Beal get in better condition and Martell Webster comes back they will be a force to be reckon with.

Mr. HookShotParticipantIf Wall knocks down that elbow-shot, like he did against the Cavs, he is basically unstopable. If you play him tight he’ll blow past you; if you play to far off he will drill the jumper. They will finish top 4 in the East and reach the second round (as long as they stay healthy) but then… Wizards – Raptors would be a very tight series and I don’t know whether they can beat a healthy Bulls team (will they every be healthy though?). For the rest, teams like the Heat, Nets and Hawks might make a though out, but the Wizards have just too much talent to get knocked out by them.
