DondiJohnParticipantThough only a few games in the season, seems like he has matured. For me, first team All-NBA and best Center in the league.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipanthis stats are pretty much identical to the ones he put up last year; 22.7 PPG, 11.7 RPG, 2.9 APG, 1.5 SPG, 1.3 BPG, 50 FG% and 73 FT%
Yeah he’s a terrific player and the Kings are playing pretty well also. I’ll need to see him keep his cool for more than 10 games though before I call him more mature. If the Kings make the playoffs I think he could be first team All-NBA this year and at some point in his career he most definitely will be.
He still needs to cut down on his turnovers and fouls though averaging 3,2 TO and 4.9 PF this year and 3.1 TO and 3.9 PF for his career. Anthony Davis who seems to be the phenom of efficient big men is averaging just 1.3 TO and 1.3 PF this year and 1.5 TO and 2.6 PF over his career.

Jr. ROXASParticipantIt has to be noted that he logs only 30 minutes a game though. Honestly I believe 25 and 14 will be realistic if he plays about 36 mins a game and he keeps out of foul trouble. Yes he does need to improve avoiding fouls but sometimes it really seems that he has a target on his back. I watch a lot of Kings games on live stream and Boogie gets a lot of unfair calls on him. Especially one in a game against Denver where he was called with two successive bogus fouls that fouled him out of the game early 4th quarter. Oh and that was the game he had 30 AND 11 in 22 minutes.
Collecting fouls early in the game kills a player’s momentum. It’s an overlooked aspect on why some players have off-games. Scoring 8 points in 4 minutes but then being sit down for 2 fouls right after just destroys a player’s momentum. A lot of that has happened to Cuz this year.

Mr. HookShotParticipantCompletely agree, but avoiding fouls is also a ‘quality’. As a player, you have to be smart and fast enough to avoid running into cheap fouls. For me that is something which is partly a matter of experience (which Cousins will gain over time), partly a matter of talent or physical make-up (e.g. athleticism, which will not change).

Mad MaxParticipantDon’t forget as a rim protector you’re going to be put in a lot of situations were contact is going to happen and fouls will be called, I don’t think it’s the biggest negative, plus if you’re not commiting fouls you’re kinda play poor, soft defense. Sometimes you just have to foul someone insetad of giving an easy basket
