nick5354ParticipantThe Big fundamental just surpassed the 25,000 point milestone. Just another accolade for one of the best bigs ever.

mookieParticipantLol did you read Pop’s quote on Duncan scoring 25,000?
"I told Aron Baynes, ‘It’s no big deal. If you shot as much as Tim, you’d have 25,000 too.’"
Lol Pop’s got some great quotes!!

HitsterParticipantNice flag up by Nick, I’d noticed Tim was getting close but I had forgot to flag it up. He’s only 19th player to reach this mark in the NBA history and one of 5 active players with over 25,000 points. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are the next ahead of him on the active list so all may move up in due course.
There are some very distinguished guys that big Tim should pass on the points list this season – Jerry West, Reggie Miller and Alex English.
The ironic thing about Tim is that with the 5 titles, double MVP, his stats position is almost an afterthought he’s that much of a legend. I could almost see Tim saying it is no great fuss.
Tim is of course the Spurs all time leading scorer and joins a more select band of guys who have scored 25,000 points for one team. Karl Malone is of course the highest scorer for a single team followed by Kobe and then MJ.
Tim is also 8th on the all time block list and 11th on the rebound list with a good chance to move into the top 10 this season.
