high floorParticipantOrlando was killed for dealing a border line all star, Arron Afflalo, for Evan Fournier and the #56 pick this summer. I know it’s WAY early, but so far I would say Orlando is the winner of the deal.
Main factor in my opinion: Fournier is 22 on his rookie deal and Afflalo is 29 on an expiring contract. This was a nice, sneaky move for the Magic. Fournier has earned some serious PT when Oladipo gets back from this mysterious face injury.

xJumpManxParticipantMagic could have gotten more for Afflalo.

juves4783Participantguessing you haven’t watched nuggets’ games…
they are a total mess. too many good players, not enough minutes. if the trade never happened, afflalo would be putting up huge numbers and fournier would be putting up mediocre numbers based on playing time and team need. at the end of the day, both teams look to be bound for a lottery pick so it’s really a wash.

Mad MaxParticipantI wouldn’t be surprised to see Afflalo get moved, Denver has no need for him, they need start over. Cavs and Bulls would be good spots.

mixtape2003ParticipantYea I definetly think the magic could of got more for Affalo, it was rumored that the Bobcat was willing to give a first rd pick. Fournier has been playing better than most would of thought.

tuck243ParticipantHe’s averaging 18 points while shooting 51% FG and 51% from 3… I agree it’s too early (those percentages are going to come down), but so far I would think JJ has a point… This isn’t something I would declare the Magic won out on, just something we should be keeping an eye on… Those are phenomenal numbers.

GBeeParticipantfournier has more offensive potential than afflalo ever had. afflalo’s just a jump shooter on that end. fournier’s a better ball-handler, with better footwork, a better intermmediate game and more creativity in terms of playmaking. evan might not ever become a good defender, but afflalo’s always been an overrated 1. he tries, but he hasn’t posted a positive dRAPM since he’s been in the league.

RUN TMCParticipantDenver fans win the trade because they don’t have to see that terrible pony tail every night! However fournier looked good against the raps the other night. If he can keep that production up i would call it a draw because affalo is the better defender and we are only 8-9 games in
