So my Pacers are 1-6 through the first 7 games and I am finding it as much fun to watch as when they started 7-0 out of the gate last year.

The development of Shane Battier…… I mean Solomon Hill has been fun to watch, I think he could be a nice 5th starter on the Indiana Pacers and be a guy like Battier who can play 2,3 or 4 and match up with other teams scorers. Allen, Rudez and Sloan have been entertaining, the only let down for me is Miles who to be fair I see as a off the bench kind of guy.

OKC has similar injury numbers, but I can’t imagine their fanbase having this much fun. Have you guys ever experienced this sensation?

It’s a throw away year for you guys. Similar to San Antonio in 1997. You know your best player is done so you’re not making the playoffs and you kind of hope you don’t just so you can get the best draft pick you can. You wan’t to not win too much but at the same time see your young players like Hill and Sloan develop.

With the amount of big men available at the top of the 2015 draft I would look to move Hibbert for any expiring contracts you can get because there’s no way he’s going to turn down his player option. Might be able to get a young player or a draft pick.

hey festar, here’s your thread from 7 weeks ago saying the pacers should make the playoffs and win a round and advance. How do you go from expecintg to go to and advance in the playoffs to being happy to being 1-6 in less then 2 months?

That’s why I did this, I am surprised I am enjoying it.

The Pacers have been close in every single game and it makes me wonder where we would be with Hill, Watson, Stuckey and West all healthy.

With all these injuries expectations have changed and I love what the young guys are doing and if they continue playing well with in particular Hill, West and Stuckey playing to their capabilities playoffs are still well within reach. In the East teams with 2 wins are in play-off picture we are only a couple games back.

For now I am just enjoying the play, Solo and Allen in particular.

Bringing up someones old post is one of the most annoying things you can do. Like you’ve never changed your mind about something in 7 weeks time? Most people change their mind on various subjects multiple times a day.
