fastdanParticipantTall, long and crafty guards who can shoot, pass and get to the line are extremely rare. He’s ultra effecient and seems like a pretty good guy and team mate. I was amazed he was ranked as low as he was, even before his injury, but I’m not sure he landed in a good situation. He’s gotta push past 2 guys who Detroit have invested in a lot recently, KCP and Meeks, and I can’t see him getting any minutes at PG with DJ and Jennings. I hope gets a chance though, as this guy is a baller.

jaycee24ParticipantI think he will get minutes and they just traded Will Bynum to do so. Bynum was highly respected and I think would of been primed to play his best this year so I think that says a lot about how SVG feels about Dinwiddie. I think defensively he poses a great option especially at point. Meeks is out at least a month or 2 so we’ll need someone to provide minutes there at the 2 plus KCP may not even be ready to go game 1 due to a knee injury so we may go big to start this year just out of necessity with Spencer getting time at the 1 and 2. I could see 10-15 minutes a game this year once he has gotten prepared to really play out there and if they struggle don’t be surprised if SVG gives him a bigger opportunity if he produces.

JoeWolf16’6” guard with some ability at the point, and a player who takes care of the ball. Can struggle with efficiency, and has tendencies to dribble into bad 2 point jump shots. Has a good outside shot, and nearly half of his attempts last year were 3 pointers.
He has some potential, but even before his ACL injury he’s struggled with some smaller injuries his Sophomore year. I understand his intrigue, a 6’2” combo guard is one thing, but a 6’6” combo guard could put something together. His injury history does make me weary, which was why he dropped to the 2nd round. If he hadn’t hurt his knee, I’m pretty certain he would have gone in the 20’s.
Could be a steal, but I feel there’s also a chance he could be a guy who just can’t stay healthy.
