nick5354ParticipantIn what world will the Utah Jazz make the playoffs? Come on man. Just because it is a bold prediction does not mean it has to be just some silly prediction.
The Jazz are the favourites to finish with the worst record in the league for me. They have a lot of young unproven players. No one knows how a Burke-Burks backcourt will work, favours and Kanter have not looked like they will excel playing together. Rudy Gobert looks like he should have a breakout season but if he gets more playing time the Jazz will be filled with big men line ups who struggle offensively.
Exum is not ready to contribute in the NBA as far as I am concerned, and they have no vets. The vets on the team are Jermany Evans, Brooker, Dahntay Jones and Steve Novak. They need some quality vets to help out this young team if they are going to be in the playoffs.
In summary unproven and line ups+young team+ no vets does not equal a playoff team. And not to mention they are in the West so they are going to have to beat out some pretty good teams to get the 8th spot. Last year Dallas just made the 8th spot and were 49 win team. If you think the Jazz are a 50 win team I seriously have no clue what you are on.
I know it is a bold prediction but at least do one’s which are believable.
I am not going to criticise you and not offer a bold prediction of my own. Mine is that the Hornets will reach the Eastern Conference Finals. I just love this team and cannot wait to watch Kemba, Born ready and Big Al go at it.

nick5354ParticipantI just don’t see Burks and Burkes being able to match the production of Dragic and Bledsoe. Phoenix are just such a curious case and a rare one.

MopgrassParticipantYou must have just watched the Jazz beat the Lakers by 30. Gobert looked great again. There was a nice Exum to Gobert tandem working. They can’t make the playoffs, but they will be fun to watch and they’ll have a better record than last year.
What you really saw tonight was that the Lakers might actually keep their top 5 pick. Two big, big blowouts in a row. There was no Nash, Lin, or Clarkson to play PG, so they won’t be THAT bad. But you can’t have two slugs like Jordan Hill and Carlos Boozer in at the same time. Throw in Kobe or Nash and you have too many guys who don’t move enough. Prediction: 3rd worst team this year unless they give Ranndle and Clarkson serious minutes.

kazamParticipant(1) Nash plays less than 20 games and injuries force him to retire mid-season.
(2)Anthony Bennet bounces back, averages 12 and 6 on an up and coming T-Wolves squad
(3) Taj Gibson wins 6th man of the year
(4) Hawks trade Al Horford
(5) Bucks, Celtics, Sixers, finish the season with the 3 worst records in the L. None of whom land the first overall draft pick
(6)The Lakers win the draft lotto and select Okafor from Duke. Magic select second and take Karl Towns from Kentucky. Bucks select Emmanual Mudiay, Celtics select Stanley Johnson and the Sixers select Kelly Oubre.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Pacers finish with a .500 record and face the Bulls in the first round of the playoffs.
Paul George returns right after being cleared by doctors, which is about 8.5/9 months after his broken leg.
The story of the series quickly turns to being about George’s return and comparing his situation to Derrick Rose’s "return" that never happened. George gets major respect from media and fans for returning right after being cleared, instead of sitting on the sidelines. Rose fans say every injury is different. Others say it’s all about toughness and heart.
Bulls win series 4-2.

Andrew1984ParticipantAndre Drummond will win MIP by averaging 21.1 points and 14.1 rebounds. He will look like a young Moses Malone. Relentless.
The Hawks will trade Jeff Teague to a team badly needing a PG (Dallas, Indiana, or a team with a starter that goes down with an injury) because of how much confidence they have in Dennis Schroder.
Contrary to most analysts’ guesses, Kyrie Irving’s numbers will increase rather than decrease, despite the presence of so many other stars. People still don’t realize how special he is and how unselfish LeBron and Love are.
Doug McDermott won’t start on a regular basis until around the All-Star Break, but he will log meaningful minutes and manage to win ROY. Wiggins, Parker, and Noel will have some exciting moments, but they will lack the maturity, consistency, and IQ that Douglas possesses.
Houston will implode and miss the playoffs. New Orleans will get in.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI would pull for the Cavs to win the title, just to see Cleveland fans celebrate.
I don’t care as much if LeBron gets his third ring.
Even getting back to the Finals would be 5 straight for him. Only Bill Russell has more.
If he wins a ring he would tie Larry Bird. Three rings would tie Dr. J’s mark if you count his two ABA trophies.
3 Finals MVP’s would put him past Bird, Kareem, Hakeem, and Kobe, and tied with Shaq, Tim Duncan, and Magic, trailing only Michael Jordan.
3 titles in four years would put him up there with some greats: Jordan, Magic, Russell, and Mikan.
Only Kareem has one a Finals MVP award with two different teams.
