dmo21ParticipantI think Stauskas will out play McLemore and fit the team better as he is a better shooter on a team with limited shooters.

BasketBalAllanParticipantAfter watching them both play in preseason and summer league I would have to agree.

kazamParticipantI am one of the biggest fans of Voneleh on this site. With that said, I doubt he starts this year. He is already behind the 8 ball, sidelined because of that hernia surgery. Last year we saw how important a training camp and coming in ready to go, in shape is with Anthony Bennett. He never got right seemingly until this year. I’m hoping for Noah but I have my sneaking suspicions it could be a long year.

juves4783Participanti have a really hard time believing that rookies will be starting in the playoffs.
mcbuckets, harris, johnson and napier…i don’t see them starting at all this season.
gordon, stauskas, payton, smart, wiggins, parker, randle, lavine, mcdaniels and clarkson…i could see all these guys starting at the end of the year when its determined their respective teams are all out of contention. stauskas, payton, wiggins, parker and mcdaniels all seem like they will start at the beginning of the year.

Swim34061ParticipantI can see James Young, Rodney Hood and Cleanthony Early getting some spot starts once their teams start mailing it in.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI don’t see why the Nuggets would go out and get Aaron Afflalo if he wasn’t going to be their guy. I don’t see Gary Harris being able to do anything better than Afflalo at this point in time, who is a really underrated player imo.

nill650ParticipantRandle should definitely get the nod to start in LA over boozer after Christmas.
Payne should get some starts at the 5 until horford is 100%
Elfrid Payton could eventually see starter minutes if Oladipo moves into the 2 guard spot, However with fournier and ben gordon there for sg duties its posible oladipo gets the brunt of the minutes against starters at the point most of the season.
Stauskas and Mclemore should both have a healthy number of starts this season.
Wiggins should gets starts at the 2 and the 3 throughout the season, but I think he will be better as a swiss army knife defender and game changer off the bench this year.
Parker should get plenty of playing time at the 3 long enough to prove wether he can or cannot defend the position. if not,he will get plenty of minutes off the bench at the 4.
gordon could get a few starts this season in orlando, but it won’t be against good teams.
provided tony allen continues at the 3 I believe it will be a very short time before Jordan Adams takes over starter sg duties for courtney lee in memphis .
my wildcard players to shock and win out starter minutes are:
mcdermott plays d better than expected and starts by march.
James Young outplays other 2 guards in boston over the course of the 2nd half of the season and will get starter minutes off the bench going into april.
TJ Warren has a good shot a starting if he proves like mcdermott capable of doing more than just scoring.

JoeWolf1No way Nick Johnson will outplay Pat Beverly. The dude was 2nd team All-Defense last year, and beat out Jeremy Lin last season. Johnson was a great pick in the 2nd round, but Beverly is a stud.
Shabazz Napier has struggled mightily in the Summer League, and Miami’s early pre-season action. Chalmers and Cole aren’t exactly rock solid, but I don’t think Napier, in his rookie campaign, is the guy who’s going to beat them out.
