You all know the controversies he caused in College. His intensity runs at a super high level, which is what makes him a great player. I can’t wait to see how he plays.

However NBA players have their behaviour scrutinised very closely. Some could even say unfairly.

    So yes or no…

Is Marcus Smart too crazy for the NBA?

Controversies? I can only think of one.  Unless punching a chair counts? In my book it doesn’t…. So no… He won’t have problems.

Having the ultimate drive to win and being controversial/crazy is something different. Smart had that ultimate drive which I believe helps in becomming a (star) player in the NBA. He made one mistake in college, but overall there are no problems there.

Yes, he should not have shoved the fan. He served his suspension and seems to have learned a lesson. Think it is a bit of a stretch too insinuate he is "too crazy for the NBA". People get stressed, kids make mistakes, so on and so forth. He is intense, but it is hard to believe that he is any more volatile than a vast number of NBA players. It seems this post is just as unfair as anyone getting scrutinized in the NBA.

There have been far crazier guys in the NBA than Marcus, it’s not as if he has as many warning lights on his attitude and personality as say a Beasley did. A will to win is surely what all players need and so many talented players lack that drive and hard work ethic that less naturally talented players have to have to really succeed.

Marcus is going into a team with a Head Coach in Brad Stevens who knows how to handle college star players and with the likes of Danny Ainge around to oversee things then I feel Marcus is going into a good situation.

Thats not even that crazy lol dont let the media hype you up. In fact i bet you if he plays the same way in Boston , they will love him even more. Hes a kid and made a mistake but the fire is there and he will be good in the league.

I’m a huge Marcus Smart fan, I just think he’s going to have awful shooting nights during his rookie season so I must ask… over/under 43% fg for the entire year??

the softer NBA gets the even more soft fans are becoming.. c’mon he pushed a fan once that was a mistake but that was only a push..

have you heard anything about Rodman’s crazy things, all the brawls of bad boys pistons, Artest getting to the stands..now those things were worse..and even that hadn’t stopped them from having a really really good career

Too crazy for a league with every panda’s BFF?

Dennis Rodman, Vernon Maxwell, Sprewell ,Delonte West, Ricky Davis. Have you ever heard Bill Walton broadcast a UCLA game? Stephen Jackson, Bison Dele, Scott Pollard, Keon Clark, Chris Anderson, and almost anyone who played for The Jail Blazers, love you Sheed!

I am surprised no one is talking about him kicking a broom handle on baseline floor last game. Glad they are talking about his on the floor success. No, I don’t think he’s too crazy for THIS league. Yes, I think he could be a truly unique player. Yes, I hate our society and what they did to that kid.

Yes, this original post is crazy.
