Danny Granger

Danny Granger was solid in his Miami Heat debut a 86-98 lost to New Orleans…Ira Winderman said he was the 2nd best player on the floor outside of Anthony Davis..That statement might’ve been a little too much considering it was a preseason game and sometimes stars sit out halfs or sometimes play less than 20 minutes…..

But as a Heat fan what was encouraging to me wasn’t him scoring 12 points on 5-8 shooting or making 2-4 from 3 point land nor was it the 4 assists he handed out..To me it was the way he moved on the court…During his time last season with the Pacers & Clippers he looked injured,old,unhappy and couldnt get any lift on his shot…

Considering the health issues he’s had to deal with over the past few years..I dont expect Granger to return to being the prolific scorer he was a few years…But it was be nice to see him play consistent and be a leader on the 2nd unit…Miami coaches said they expect him to spend some minutes at power forward and shooting guard..
