don042488ParticipantI feel bad for Alonzo Gee, getting traded so many times just this Summer…He deserves to be in the league he is a good player and a high character guy…It’s reported the Denver Nuggets has interest in him, but that would be a bad situation for him because they’re stacked on the wing…The best teams he can sign with who he can get actual playing time with and perhaps start, are for the New Orleans Pelicans, Indiana Pacers, and Los Angeles Lakers…Outside of Darius Miller the Pelicans don’t have a legit small forward, as Tyreke Evans who played at stretches there is really a shooting guard and Luke Babbitt is really a slow footed stretch 4…It’s evident with Paul George out the Pacers could use a wing defender and scorer, this is where Alonzo Gee could come in handy…Gee is a good two way player, unlike Chris Copleland who’s the presumed starter at small forward in the wake of George’s devastating injury…As for the Lakers small forward situation, Xavier Henry is still recovering from surgery and I doubt Wesley Johnson will play enough defense for Byron Scott’s liking…Alonzo Gee played for Byron Scott in Cleveland, with the Cavaliers, and Scott admired his two abilities so much he started Gee during his tenure there…Any of those 3 teams would be good for Alonzo Gee…I hope he signs with one of them

Anton123ParticipantGee just needs to get lucky and fall into the right situation. He’s a great defender, who can defend every position from 1-3 very well and a great athlete who can score on the fast break, but he doesn’t really do anything else.
Guys like Tony Allen and PJ Tucker have found themselves a place based almost exclusively off of their hustle and defesive ability. If Alonzo Gee is lucky – he’ll find a home too. I remember him actually doing a pretty good job defending against Chris Paul, which very few players, let alone SFs can do.
Most teams want a guy who can at least stretch the floor, a 3 and D guy, Alonzo is really more of a slam dunk and D guy.

Jr. ROXASParticipantNot only for Gee but I also feel bad bout those three guys Malcolm Thomas, John Lucas and Erik Murphy being included as a package trade by teams ALWAYS. I think it’s pretty obvious to them now that the teams that got them have no interest in them as a player but their non-guranteed contracts. Lol. Sad.
