frogmanParticipantI know these are your opinions but really?
Antetokunmpo better than Lebron and Durant in 5 years?
Iguodala more athletic than Lebron?
Tyreke more skilled than Lebron?
Durant the best leader when he can’t even convince Westbrook to give him the ball?
Let’s just say I disagree

LA12ParticipantHow can you call James the most overrated and Durant the most underrated? James just might become the greatest SF of all time, if he isn’t already. And Durant’s considered the second best player in the world. How can the concensus choice for second best player in the world be underrated?

Scrooge McDuckParticipantThe Prophet – I really like your list… although batum might be the most skilled (as he averages more steals, blocks, and assists). How is lebron a leader? A good leader is someone generally all his teammates love… I don’t know of that’s true for lebronbron is constantly apologizing to people.

theprophetParticipantthank you for asking, i’m going by my opinion on how i rank them going into next year. i say that both durant and lebron were not quite san antonio last year. durant is younger and improving at a higher rate. lebron’s peak imo was season before last. durant was the best player in the league last year. i believe that okc will win it this year. i say lebron is overrated in the sense that so many people say he’s the best player in the world and durant is underrated because so many people say durant is second simply putting lebron their when i don’t agree. it’s just my opinion though. as far as lebron being the best sf of all time, i say he is very close right behind larry bird if you want to count the career. i respect the lebron on top opinions though. hope that clears it up a bit, and i don’t expect you to agree. overrated/underrated in the consensus stand point, but not necessarily over all rankings.

IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron James is an improved three-point shooter and he did shoot 48.8% on catch and shoot three-pointers, but he only attempted less than two per game… He attempted about two three-pointers off of the dribble and only shot 30.8%.
I think most of his improvement as a shooter has come in the mid-range, where he’s pretty much a 39% shooter overall with a good enough sample size of shots. 39% isn’t great, but it’s probably above league average.
He’s a respectable shooter, but is still streaky in my opinion. Majority of his damage is still in the paint, where he’s the best in the league.

BenchWarmerParticipantOf the 166 players that took more than 100 spot up threes lebron was second behind Kyle Korver.. That not respectable that’s elite, your first paragraph is inane.
But I totally agree with the midrange! he’s been very up and down. Year to year he’s been up and down going from average to really good, (few years ago he was statistically one of the best) he he’s got the inside and outside down, but his midrange is a little shaky but hell nobody’s perfect. Hopefully him and the rest of the league stop with this flopping garbage.0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/28/2014 - 8:44am #947069

IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron averaged 0.8/1.6 on catch and shoot three-pointers per game. I mean, give him credit for making 48.8% of those shots he took, but that’s such a small sample size compared to the best catch and shoot players in the league.
For example… Players like Klay Thompson shot 43.6% on 5.5 attempts.. . Wesley Matthews 41.9% on 5.1 attempts. Kyle Korver 49.9% on 4.8 attempts… Trevor Ariza 43.5% on 4.9 attempts… Paul George 43.8% on 4.1 attempts… JR Smith 46.2% on 4.7 attempts. I mean, you can just go down the list of players who are better… Carmelo Anthony, Aaron Afflalo, Marco Belinelli, Mike Miller, Damian Lillard… I mean, these guys doubled/tripled LeBron’s attempts and shot over 40%.
I mean, LeBron averaged less than one catch and shoot three-pointer made per game lol. That’s all I was saying. Yea, he made a high percentage, but that’s extremely misleading. He’s not on the same level as the best catch and shoot players in the league. Not even close actually.

festar35Participant1. Best Current SF? LeBron James – The things this guy does is on another level. From FG% to his assist and rebounds number
2. Best in 5 years? Paul George – Yes you may say this is bias and it will only be if he comes back healthy from this injury. Thing is he has been to the ECF twice as the “leader” of the Pacers at age 22 & 23. He puts up 20+ a night whilst locking into the best scorer on the other team more often than not. He will be 29 and will be at the apex of still being athletic with having an even greater understanding of the game. If the injiry plagues him I would go with Durant.
3. Most Underrated? Gordon Hayward – He struggled being the number 1 option, but in fairness didnt have a lot of help. He is more athletic than people give him credit for, can score and facilitate and is an above average defender.
4. Overrated? Kawhi Leonard – The kid is good, but until we see him in a situation consistently where he is the guy in SA I just can’t call him great. Time will tell, but people are amping up a bit much.
5. Best Young SF (2 yrs or less exp. in league)? The Greek Freak – Looks amazing on court and loaded with potential, he and Wiggins will be fun to watch grow.
6. Best Rookie? Andrew Wiggins – Love what Minny has going, also I believe Parker will be playimg PF for the Bucks.
7. Most Athletic? LeBron James – Still a freak athlete, will be interesting to see what this lighter version can do.
8. Most Skilled? LeBron James – No explanation needed
9. Best Leader? LeBron James – There aren’t a lot of great leaders at SF position, but LeBron has influence so he is hard deny. Look for George to grow in this role.
10. Best All-Time? Larry Bird and LeBron James I cant decide.
11. Favorite Current SF? Paul George

9. Best Leader? LeBron James. Umm, he leads the entire LEAGUE.
10. Best All-Time? Larry Bird. Still has one more ring than LeBron. If you consider Bird, LeBron, and Elgin Baylor as "power forwards in power forwards bodies" then I will go with Dr. J. — the original athletic small forward out of central casting.
11. Favorite Current SF? Rudy Gay
Kawhi Leonard is underrated if you look at last year’s regular season stats for a guy who didn’t make the all star team. Kawhi is OVERRATED if you are calling him the next Scottie Pippen after his virtuoso Finals appearance. Even though, Kawhi had a PRIME Pippenesque run of games. The length is there, the D is there, the nasty dunks are there, HUGE HANDS, rebounds, with a BETTER outside shooting touch. Although Kawhi doesn’t have Pip’s playmaking skills. But, Kawhi is the same age/stage of his career as Scottie was at Central Arkansas or as a rookie. So, we will see what happens.
Rudy Gay is OVERRATED if you are comparing him to LeBron/Durant or maybe even Carmelo. He is UNDERRATED if you think pre-injury Paul George was underrated.
Ok, LeBron has "probably" passed Larry Bird, but at this stage of the game it’s all about RINGS. Ok, Dr. J also has three titles if you include his two ABA rings.
