With Thad supposedly going to Minny now and the Wolves not really getting any scoring threats backs (please don’t say Alexey Shved the dude shot 32%) who exactly scores for them? I have a feeling MCW has a huge year, which results in people raving about him, when to me he’s an average guard stuck in a great place production wise. I feel Tony Wroten could potentially have a good scoring year for them as well. But looking at their roster right now no one really stands out as a scoring threat. Who do you think steps up? Right now they only have 14 guys under contract, with (from what I’ve read) none of their 2nd rounders signed. 2 of the 15 guys signed are out for the year in Jackson and Embiid, so I’m assuming this is their 13 man DC coming up.

    PG: MCW / Ware

SG: Wroten / Williams / Shved

    SF: Thompson / Richardson

PF: Moute / Moultrie / Davies

    C: Noel / Sims / Varnado

    IR: Jackson / Embiid

But, I’m also fairly certain a lot of these guys might be cut. Jordan McRae looked really solid in summer league and will probably make it. I assume they would want to bring in McDaniels and the young Grant on board too. But at the end of the day this team is extremely offense deprived. Someones got to step up.

We’re gonna see another hella inefficient MCW and Wroten season, or we’re gonna see a hella inefficient KJ McDaniels gun show. Maybe Lou Williams. No matter what,  it’s gonna be some UGLY basketabll to watch outside of Noel and MCW

     They’ve got nothing.

Hopefully they will let Wroten go wild, 40 minutes a game and 25 points a game on 40% shooting.

Noel, the last time he played was a long time ago, 10.5 points a game for Kentucky on 59% from the field, but 53% on free throws.  Teams can foul him if he gets the ball deep in the post, send him to the line instead of allowing the dunk.

Who can remember the last time Jason Richardson played, he is nearly twice as old as the other players on the roster, I don’t think they will give him a big role.

The offense should be all MCW and Wroten, but at least Noel will block a lot of shots down the other end.  It doesn’t matter now, in a few years they will scare everyone with their depth in the paint.

I feel Noel will actually be a decent free throw shooter though. The dude was killing it in summer league shooting 81%.

If Iverson is begging for change outside a mall (i know that story was fake) they might as well suit him up. He would prolly still be the best offensive threat that team would have.

Genius. You continue to tank. Which is clearly their plan again this year. And you still sell a few tickets. And they help the guy out. I know he is still a very rich dude. But he could probably use the discipline of being on a team for a few months. And it would be fun to see what he had left.

Yeah, Philly is looking at another tank season. They actually got younger (and worse) somehow over the summer.

They can’t win. They have no veteran talent. They have no scoring.

But, it will be great for the young players development in the sense that they’ll get heaps of touches. But also a risk that being so young will result in possible behaviour issues. No veteran leadership at all.

MCW will have a monster fantasy season (if you plan on punting fg%).

And you never know….Schved might come on strong this season.

RUN RUN and RUN. In theory they should be able to run a bit with MCW getting steals and Noel blocking shots. They’ll be bad offensively but defensively they should be in the 18-24 range. It’s not great but they have the athletes to get it done on that side of the ball. They have a chance to build a good style of play starting on D. Play hard defense and have fun on offense.

Wroten will probably get 19ppg. MCW 15ppg. Noel 11ppg and Shved 10ppg off the bench. I think Embiid should get some time this year and of he does that’ll help a lot.

So yea they don’t have a go to guy or many vets. It makes the coach that much more important. If he can get these guys to play hard on defense and build that culture, the offense will catch up and make this a good team in a couple years.

Wroten did average 17.8 on 43% shooting as a starter last year. If he’d shoot less threes and focus on free throws he could see both those numbers rise.

I’m loving what Hinkie is doing with this team man.  He’s literally destroying it in hopes that it will all come together. Doesn’t matter that your "core" guys will not play with each other for some time.  Oh, forgot to mention, big men coming off major injuries isn’t a concern here either.  Stock up on draft picks and you might finally draft an All-Star after all the tries you have within your grasp.

I like Embiid and hopes he does well, but I hate Hinkie and anyone that "TRIES" to lose to gain more assests in sports is scum in my opinion.  I hope the 76ers are terrible until the 76er’s owner and fans come to their senses and realize how ridiculous Sam Hinkie’s idea is…   Then as soon as they fire his a$$, they’re good…  That’s my wishes/dream…

If Alexey Shved stays with the 76ers I imagine he’ll be one of the guys who step up and score for them despite shooting 32% last year. The biggest reason I say that is because Shved only played about 10 minutes per game last year and if the 76ers keep him I imagine he’d play at least 25 minutes per game. The increase in minutes should show itself in an increase in opportunites to score seeing as the 76ers won’t have better options.

All that being said it will certainly be a long year for the 76ers and their fans unless someone unexpected is fantastic on both ends of the court.

MCW will be taking loads of shots as will Tony Wrotten. There could be some interesting fantasy league pick ups like Henry Sims and Hollis Thompson as Coach Brett Brown will have minutes to fill so some unheralded guys will be seeing major minutes.

Nerlens Noel will be interesting to watch as he’ll get a few tip ins and put backs from MCW to keep him ticking over so could have a surprisingly decent scoring year.
