arowsky205ParticipantI hope someone can clear this up, because I just don’t understand it. Where is Trey Lyles in the mock drafts? Everywhere I look, nobody has him going in the first round next year. But he was a top 10 recruit out of high school, and when I watched him in all the All-Star games I thought he looked like a top 10 pick, at least lottery for sure. I’ll admit I haven’t seen a lot of him, but with limited research he seems like a stud. Super skilled, high basketball IQ, very good rebounder, can hit the 15-footer consistently. Also has great size at 6’10" and his wingspan was measured at 7’3.5" at the Nike Hoop Summit. I know he won’t be a good athlete at the NBA level, but is he so unathletic that it should keep him out of the first round next year completely? Is it because people think he won’t get much playing time in a loaded Kentucky frountcourt? I hope you guys can clear it up for me, because I’m genuinely confused.

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantHe’s in the 2016 mock draft. His position may have something to do with UK"s front court being to loaded. I Believe however that Trey Lyles is an lottery pick and may even go top 10 however not this year but 2016 seems more reasonable. I remember watching him a few years back and Trey Lyles would dominate the USA 16u team and was also the teams leading scorer and rebounder even though Andrew Wiggins was on the same team.

imAboutDatActionParticipantI question his wingspan measurement.
His wingspan was measured at 7’0 two years ago.
Then at the Hoop Summit, it measured at 7"3.5
From the eye test, i just don’t buy it. His length looks closer to 7"0 than 7"3.5

TheLastWordParticipantThe Hoop Summit measurements are always pretty close to the NBA combine. Standing reach is usually the only measurement that varies (maybe they test without shoes….?)

Magic JordanParticipantHis game reminds me of Perry Ellis. smooth and mistake free. Doesn’t wow you in any way except with his steadiness.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantNot enough minutes for him this year for him to go lottery. If Cal doesn’t bring in 2 more 5 star bigs in 2016 and Dakari and Towns bounce for the league, he and Marcus Lee should have good chances to carve out first round spots in 2016
