I’m quite sure that others like I, take a liking to certain players who we have not followed extensively, but off initial glimpse we are quick to say, “this guy will be very decent at the next level”.

Feel free to post the guy’s name followed by “Tell me more please” for those who followed your guy and has information to fill you in where you have questions or concerns.

The process should go very well if we all post 1 guy, and have everyone reply under each specific post to keep it clean.

I’ve been stressing for the longest that Cat Barber is the upgraded version to Myck Kabongo. If no one can accept this, than I will call out bullsh*t from the way the site/message boards raved of him.

Deonte Burton reminds me of dion waiters – big guard with deceptive handles and athleticism who can score from all over the court. I think he’s going to end up being a very prolific scorer by the Time he’s left Marquette

Burton/Waiters comparison, I kind of like it. Burton has more finesse to his game than Waiters, which is the beauty of the power that comes after. I really do hope he makes a name for himself, especially under Wojo in his first year.

BTW! I said keep it clean TaylorCondrin.

Now someone else… Tell me more please!

Whenever I watched Marquette last year he played the four but he is a power undersized wing at the next level

Where do you stack Burton up in comparison to Wayne Selden?

Very different players… Selden is a true power two guard. Burton is the same size as Selden but plays at the high post as opposed to the perimeter. Burton succeeds by being quicker than fours and stronger than threes. Burton also is not a three point shooter nor much of a rebounder due to his size. Marquette has a very small team this year so I expect Burton to log most of his minutes at the four, but if they get Henry Ellenson for 2015 he will be forced to the three so itll be interesting to see how he makes that transition.

Selden is a much better prospect hands down

Me asking, was not to throw shade on Selden. I just wanted to see how far off or close Burton is to developing, rather sooner than later.

Explosive sophmore scoring guard being groomed into a pg. Scouts at Adidas Nations said he can be turned into a true point. They loved his coachability and his positive demeanor – apparently he was the surprise of the camp. Not sure if Rhode Island is a Mid-Major, but I’d like to see more about him.
