Thats just a crazy idea, but given that they have Carmelo and Phil Jackson. Is it possible for them to trade for the players who accept their qualifying offers. I think giving Shumpert and JR Smith can be sufficient to pull out trades.
they can form a 3 with Carmelo Bledsoe and Monroe. How good will that be?

  Monroe and Bledsoe would certainly be upgrades for the Knicks but would it matter? Those guys are not game changers in the grand scheme of things but will likely be paid as one (considering the offers that they already have on the table). It seems like the Knicks will be relegating themselves to mediocrity as the Pistons did when they signed Ben Gordon and Charlie Villaneuva to their exorbitant deals. They’d be better served plundering and pillaging the Pacers of their role players, now that Paul George and Lance Stephenson are gone.

    eh, idk if you can get much worse than the gordon and villanueva signings. but if anyone could do it, it sure as hell would be the knicks.

i dont think they can get bledsoe honestly, and i wouldnt want them to either. it would cost a ton of cap space to get both and id rather Iman Shumpert be groomed as a triangle type point guard. meaning he works on outside shooting, defending and facilitate off the ball. he could be a combination of both fisher and harper when they played under phill in the triangle.
monroe on the other hand, would be a great fit. his passing skills and sense for spacing is such a good fit for phill’s system and philosophies. i honestly think that when phil strikes out on marc gasol and kevin love in next years off-season, he would concentrate on landing monroe. i wouldnt be surprised if they started talking this off-season and see on the potential fit of the two parties.
