     Top 20 post player out of Bishop Gormann in Vegas announcing his college decision on Monday.  People are saying it’s a Duke wrap.  I tend to agree.  He had gushing things to say about K.  Perhaps K is reversing the trend of Duke not being able to sign top post talent to Durham.  Okafor this year and Jeter next year.  Anybody here anything different?

    I am hearing it is a wrap at Duke, only place he visited. I am suprised we didn’t get a Duke bashing post from you, haha.

    Also, quick question for you TarHeel, what is the latest with the academic scandal at UNC? I haven’t heard anything since Rashad McCants ridiculous rant; however is that hurting recruitment in either Football or basketball? Any insight would be much appreciated.

     Hahahaha, I can’t bash duke.  Coach k is getting it in on he recruiting trail and surprisingly has been outrecruting Roy recently.   I haven’t heard recently about he academic scandal since mccants said he was getting a check for 300 mil from the NCAA.  I just heard he NCAA was reopening the investigation.  I don’t know how recruiting has been affected in basketball.  All I know is that Roy has missed out on top recruits the last couple years and it has really shown in the lAst 2 seasons since the talent level in chapel hill hasnt been close to what it was in 05 and 09.  I think the class of 2015 will tell if the academic transgressions will hurt Carolina in recruiting.  We have offers out for rabb and Zimmerman, and we need a top flight big man after missing out on several recently.

      I will see what I can find. I am interested to see how that unfolds. The O’Bannon trial and the UNC reports are definitely an interesting time to see what will be unfolding within college athletics.

     Coach K’s recruiting has gone up significantly since his involvement in Team USA. HS kids see players like Kobe and Lebron gushing over how great he is. That has to help. 

    Also, since he started Team USA, Coach K has moved from a 4 out 1 in offense with 3 guards and a stretch four to a more wing based offense. I think he would rather have two elite wings than two elite guards.

    Coach K will always be able to get one really good post player, but I don’t think he will ever be able to stock up loaded frontcourts like we have seen with UK, KU, Georgetown and Zona recently.
