xJumpManxParticipantThe crux of the trade appears to have the Cavaliers sending Wiggins, forward Anthony Bennett and a 2018 first-round pick to Minnesota for Love and possibly forward Corey Brewer.
The Cavs are not sending out Waiters and Wiggins so people need to stop posting that nonsense.

JoeWolf1I read on Bleacher Report, this morning, that Love won’t sign an extension due to the superior money he can get as a free agent next summer.
If I’m the Cavs, Andrew Wiggins for 1 guaranteed year with Kevin Love doesn’t really stack up. I’m sure there’d be some sort of verbal agreement to resign the following summer, but stranger things have happened. The Bulls with a healthy Rose, are probably the only team that is on the level of the Cavs right now. Indiana’s late season implosion and the loss of Lance make me think they’re more like a 3 or 4 seed with the Wiz.
I’m sick of this Kevin Love theatre. Do it or don’t do it.

xJumpManxParticipantCan not be annouced until august 23, due to that 30 days period after rookies sign where they can not be moved.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantCan we just wait and see what Minnesota does in 3 weeks?
I think this deal gets done eventually because LeBron didn’t come back home to play with a Rookie, no matter how much the world tries to hype him up, LeBron has 2 working eyes and can see that Andrew Wiggins isn’t all the special anyway and he’d certainly rather have a player like Kevin Love than some 19 year old with No Heart and who has not proved a Damm thing
The Trade I see happening is
Cavs send Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett to Minnesota, Dion Waiters and Brendon Haywood to Philadelphia
Timberwolves send Kevin Love to Cleveland, JJ Barea to Philly
Philadelphia sends Thad Young to Minnesota and Byron Mullins to Cleveland
It’s pretty much
Wolves get to build around Rubio or Lavine at G, Wiggins and Bennett at the Forward spots, Pekovic and Dieng at C…Bazz and Thad can either stick around or not
The 76ers get their scoring SG and fellow Orangemen to pair up with MCW…Barea is just around for the Puerto Rican fans in the city and represents an expiring contract
The Cavs get the Best Player in deal in Love and another big body so they can chase a championship

TMoney617ParticipantI highly doubt they trade away both Wiggins and Waiters leaving a hole at the SG position. And even if that did happen, they would at least have to get Martin from the Timberwolves.

Captain LParticipantI’m pretty sure Mullens is a free agent and if I’m not mistaken he has already signed with a China team, maybe Euro team but I think a China team.
I don’t see Waiters being traded along with Wiggins and Bennett.

goddagParticipantThis is pretty much how I see it also. But I think the Wolves get rid of one more contract. I could see Martin going to CLEV also.

bmac697ParticipantWaiters will not be included if there giving up wiggins Bennett plus picks. I see simple trade for players mentioned plus fillers for love and Berea. Makes sense to me.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’d be shocked if Kevin Love didn’t sign an extension after this season, but that’d definitely make me a little nervous if I’m the Cavs.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantthey would have traded for Danny Granger. Wiggins easily in my opinion projects as a cross between Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. It may take three to four years but that’s what some team is going to have. Then he will extend it to stay for four more years. A bad win now GM would have traded Paul George for Danny Granger. A good GM would have traded George Hill for Kawhi Leonard.
I’m not saying Love is Danny Granger because that would be preposterous. Love is a stud but I do feel as though Wiggins is not getting his do. Wiggins has the pedigree and prep career to make you believe he will pan out. He has always dominated or showed well in his age group (peers now in the League Randle, Parker etc.) period.
Wiggins and Bennett are best friends and if they leave the Cavs I hope they do well and in three years they will be putting up a combined 36, 15, and 6 for some team.

FearTheStacheParticipantWiggins was the #1 overall pick in one of the best drafts we have seen. I don’t think many people were expecting Paul George to evolve into a top 10 superstar when drafted.

BlueLacesParticipantHow can you label this as one of the best drafts we’ve ever seen when no one has played a single game yet?
