With the news of a possible Wiggins/Bennett for Love trade being a reality within the next month. The Timberwolves have a lot of players in the wing positions, two of which, LaVine (too much potential to sit) and Wiggins (has to start) would take minutes away from Muhammad. With veterans such as Kevin Martin (starter) and Chase Budinger (role player), also looking to log minutes in spots Muhammad would be used in. Throw in Bennett playing possible spot minutes at the 3 and Muhammad is looking to be totally out of the rotation and potential trade bait. What is the market for him right now, if any market at all?

They would certainly tank out. They would offer up both Martin and Budinger as both make considerably more than Muhammed. Offer them up for more draft picks, and expiring contracts. They would have the youngest team in the league, but they could fly and be exciting. And up for one of the young freshman centers, that can still play PF at this point.

i think they should try to move kevin martin in any love deal.  guy is 31 and isn’t much of a defender.  great offensive player, but his number will dip and with 3 more years with $21M left on his contract; this is a great opportunity to move him with love.  it sounds like minny wants thad young and philly wants waiters so the only thing i could come up is…

philly gets waiters, haywood and lucas iii

minny gets thad young, bennett and wiggins, draft pick

    cleveland gets kmart, love

in that case, philly gets a sg for the future.  haywood and lucas iii are expiring contracts.  minny gets thad young and bennett for pf depth and wiggins.  opens minutes for other young wings.  cleveland takes kmart’s contract and gets their man in love.

Yea, if the Love for Wiggins goes through at least one of the two of Budinger and Martin will probably gone soon after. I could see Wiggins and Muhammed starting after all is said and done. Lavine isn’t ready yet. I’d give him minutes but they’d be limited to 18-22 unless he surprised and plays well.

I picture him ball-hogging (no such word, lol) in China 3-4 years from now.

I can see the Wolves really stunting the growth of Lavine and Mohammed, same goes for Wiggins and Bennett, they’ve just had terrible luck developing players aside from the 2 Kevins

I would love to see the 76ers land Mohammed or Lavine instead of taking back Dion Waiters if they are going to send Thad to Minnesota(simply because I feel he comes with baggage)

That way the Wolves have Rubio/Waiters/Wiggins/Bennett/Pekovic/Thad Young as a Core…

The 76ers leave with MCW/Lavine/Mohammed/Noel/Embiid/Saric/Wroten/McCrae and company as a core…

The Cavaliers are already getting the Best player in the trade, not to mention a good shooter in Kevin Martin…

Shabazz, really didn’t get a chance last year with Adelman as coach. I can see him playing more minutes now that Flip is coach again. He has shown he can be a good player when his been given minutes, down in D league, and summer league. He’s plays aggressive, and drives to the basket and ends up shooting a lot of free throws, and does rebound good. One thing the Timberwolves need bad is someone that can take it to the basket, instead of sitting out at the 3 point line throwing up bad shots.
You can just about bet that the Wolves will be dumping K Martin in on this trade. They know it’s a bad contract, but he was a Adelman player.
And I doubt very, very much, you won’t see Flip trading Deing in any trade. He loves that kid. I like what Flip has done with the two drafts he’s had. Shabazz, Deing, Lavine, and Robinson, all good solid players.

yeah, that 76ers team would be fun to watch.  still am in disbelief that the 76ers drafted saric in the first place.  i mean, by all reports…he’s not a sf.  with the abundance of bigs in next years’ draft and having noel and embiid, seemed like taking lavine/young/harris/warren would have been a better move (at least for the fans that go to the games).  guess we’ll know in a couple years…

This sounds about right. I’m not convinced Waiters has to go anywhere. It depends on what happens with Kevin Martin. Martin and Love means a lot of salary. LaVine’s stock is a little higher than Shabazz’s right now. So Minny can make 76ers eat Martin’s contract and 76ers get Lavine while Thad goes to Minny OR Shabazz straight up for Thad (which would mean Cleveland gets Martin and has to move more contracts than Wiggins, Bennett, and a future1st rounder).

Honestly, Bazz really has only 2 NBA skills at this point: Rebounding, and easy buckets. He’s been somewhere between bad and godawful at SG when he’s had minutes there, because…well…he can’t shoot. Or defend. He’s been most effective so far as a Carl Landry type undersized PF, and unless he drastically improves his shot selection, shooting form (he looooves the shot put style shot), and foot speed/perimeter D, I think that’s his ceiling.

Yeah, I have been saying that for a little bit now, he is a PF in a SG’s body. He can’t attack the basket, he cant shoot and he is a below average wing defender. You need 2 of those skills to stay in the league or be an elite shooter. I came in to summer league hopefully and left disapointed because he doesn’t seem to have improved the areas he needed to improve enough to make an impact on the team.

Honestly he needs to be in the d league he has no guard skills he’s like a small power forward, he’s good in transition but that’s about it he’s a below avg shooter he takes way to many shots to score and has like no ball skills, he’s a avg athlete can’t finish over bigger athletic defenders, he was very overrated coming out of HS and I didn’t Get why but I see him out the league in 2-4 years, and I think minny should think about moving. Rubio and play lavine and wiggins in the backcourt together if they make the move that back court would be electrifying and could grow into a power house like Durant and Westbrook ( just a example) but I think you let these young athletic wings hit the grown running IMO lavine has the most potiental in the draft after embid and wiggins is the 3rd and together they could be special they compliment each other to me
