    Wow. Get your popcorn ready!

Now that Wiggins, by all indications, will be included in the Love deal, pairing him with LaVine is extremely exciting. Imagine the highlights these guys are capable of. We are talking about NBA JAM level stuff here. Just picture those two on the breaks together……

Both are still so raw they will undoubtedly have some struggles for a few years in the West. It could be kinda scary adding high a few more lottery picks with these two ultra athletic players with unbound potential. Dieng Looks like he should be a solid big in the league and  throw in Bennett as well, and you have the next OKC in the making.

LaVine was one of my favorite players in the draft and that admiration only grew while watching him in SL. His ability to play point really impressed me.  The latest YouTube clips haven’t hurt either…

Wiggins is also an obvious talent and freak of nature but I am sure some people will bring up the bust factor and how raw these guys are. This is true, but I’ll take my chances with these two guys. Flip did a great job getting  Wiggins, Bennett,  another #1 pick, and unload bad contracts. The future is really bright for Minnesota.

They are going to upgrade their athletisism overnight with LaVine, Wiggins, Bennett and if they pull off the rumored Thad Young trade that would be a part of all that.  Rubio may not be able to shoot the ball but this could be a highlight team and I’m interested to see what Bennett can turn into. One season in the league and he showed up for summer ball in much better shape.  Rubio, Wiggins, Bennett, Young and Pek with Mo Williams, Lavine and Deing off the bench sounds like a promising rotation.

I don’t like to wish my life away, but I can’t wait for August 23 to get here and find out who’s going to traded for K Love. I might just pee my pants waiting. It’s going to be fun.

I am hoping we dont get young and find a way to dump pek and martin. I hope they rebuild their team the right way and slowly as in tanking next year and finding a point gaurd like Mudiay and let rubio go. He is not worth a max contract. He should get the 10 to 12 million dollar contracts guys like ty lawson got. If they do keep him then any of the top big men would be a nice final piece with star potential for them and they can build from there knowing they have everything they need to contend in another 2 years after that. After the top teams in the west have gotten older or fallen apart.

I love the thought of Ricky Rubio throwing lob passes to those 2. Fast breaks with those three would be fin to watch.

well wiggins is supposed to have as high as a potential as any player in the past ten years. so even though he has a long ways to go, a long long ways, its not that hard to consider that he can be as good as Durant if he works harder than anyone in his craft and developed his ball handling, shooting and scoring skills. he has the physical attributes of KD.

and lavine may even have to work harder and has even further to go to be like westbrook. but he does have elite athletic abilities which westbrook rely on. he doesnt have his strength but can get there through hard work. his ball handling has to improve but far from broken and he has a good stroke he can continue to hone. and he has great size for the position he’s most used to playing, point guard.

given that they may never live up to their full potential and be a durant and westbrook caliber players, its not far fetched to think they have the potential since they have simillar physical gifts and attributes.

Let’s be real tho, KD is 6’11 and is considered to one of the best players in world! He’s proven. Even though I’m not a huge Westbrook fan but that boy can play. Not saying Wiggins and Lavine won’t become that good but KD has the chance to get even better! Westbrook as well, the hype on wiggins is getting a bit out of control honestly

look, dude, nobody said that wiggins and lavine would be like durant and westbrook anytime soon. in fact, i stressed that they have a long ways to go. all is being said that their potential and ceiling reaches that of the same caliber of players as durant and westbrook. we found out later on that a lot of players dont live up to their high potentials, (darko, kwame, bargnani), andrew and zach could fall in that category some day. but they have an equal chance of living up to it, (howard, paul, griffin) theres nothhing wrong with acknowledging one of the possibilities. its not like we’re saying that thats the only outcome or they will be the next kd and westbrook. we’re just saying they have the chance to be.

I know that Martin has been talked about a lot as a candidate to be moved with Love. Is it possible that Pek gets included too if Cleveland included Thompson and Min just rebuilds around Rubio?

Cle trades – Waiters, Varejao, Haywood to 76ers and Benet, Wiggins and Thompson to MN

Cle gets – Pek, Martin and Love

Phi trades – Young to MN

Phi gets Waiters, Varejao and Haywood

MN trades – Pek, Martin and Love to Cle

MN gets – Wiggins, Bennett, Thompson, Young and probably would need to include John Lucas for salary

    Cle starting 5

    PG – Irving
    SG – Martin
    SF – James
    PF – Love
    C – Pekovic

    Min starting 5

    PG – Rubio
    SG – Lavine
    SF – Wiggins
    PF – Young
    C – Dieng

    6th -Bennett
    7th – Thompson

Don’t know if this is realistic, but it should work salary wise. Cle would have a win now roster and Min would go all in on youth and athleticism to go around Rubio. I’m sure picks would be included too. Thoughts?

    NOOOOOOOOO!!

Cavs better not give heaps for Love. Lebron/Kryie/Love is just to much offensive. They shouldn’t trade away all the good young players they got with Lebron gone for freakin Love. This is making me so annoyed.

Cavs so easily could be consistent top 3 in the conference for the next 10 years with Wiggins, Kyrie, Bennet and Thompson! If they give up this just to chase a finals ring and be dominant for 3 seasons then turn to shit I’ll be so pissed off.

Please don’t stuff this up cavs ><

Kyrie is 23 and Love is 25. They have much more than just 3 years. You’re looking at 5 or 6. Plus Lebron can play at a high level til at least 35 so this has just has much long term potential as it does for success this year. you also have to remember that Love isn’t a player who relies on athleticism so his game will be impactful up until his mid 30’s

I agree. 3 years was a bit of stretch haha. Kyrie is 22 as well, not 23. And for some reason I felt love like was closer to 30 then 25, feels like he has been around for many more years the he has.

Point is though they shouldn’t sacrifice longer term success (if something happens to Love) by giving up too much.

another non-believer. Kevin Love is a top 8 player by all accounts. Maybe even top 5.It’s hard to get 2 of the top 5 players in the league and even harder to get 3 of the top15 players. If you have the opportunity you have to do it.

I was just saying Wiggins and LaVine have vast amounts of potential and athleticism, like KD and Westbrook. Many have described Durant as a 7’0 shooting guard. At nearly that height, with that skill set, is truly unique. His talents and that uniqueness are making it hard for me to keep him out of my All-Time Starting 5.Westbrook is one of the most violent athletes with a tenacious, verocious, attacking mindset that is also like never seen before.

Wiggins and LaVine have the same ability to grow together and become something LIKE what OKC has.

is that they would all do the Love trade in a heartbeat. Part of it involves what LeBron wants. Part of it is the "fit". Love brings much of what the Cavs currently lack; size. He is also a perfect fit for what this coach likes to do at the 4. Part of it involves the trades the Cavs have made that makes winning sooner than later a priority.

Everyone here who hates the idea of them parting with Wiggins is spot on about his potential. Putting him with LaVine just looks fun. But, those guys will take a while to develop in the best scenario. The Cavs don’t want to wait until LeBron is 31-32 to be contenders.

Don’t take me as arguing. I’m not. I think the Cavs can win quickly with who they have. And, I’m concerned about Love’s ability to stay healthy. But, as all the Big Dogs have been saying at the networks, Love is ready now. He’s also young. And, he isn’t a prospect, like Wiggins. He’s already a top 5 PF.

They are trading potential for certainty, in their minds. LeBron wants it. It will happen.

But, as all the Big Dogs have been saying at the networks, Love is ready now. He’s also young. And, he isn’t a prospect, like Wiggins. He’s already a top 5 PF.

They are trading potential for certainty, in their minds. LeBron wants it. It will happen.

Wiggins is no Durant. Durant has a ridiculous handle for a seven footer and has the best shot off the dribble in the league. Wiggins isn’t that skilled. Zach Lavine is an athletic freak but Westbrook is much more than just a high flyer. Don’t think Lavine can go from 4th best player if that on his college team to top ten player in the league like Westbrook is. And Antony Bennett is getting alot of hype this summer which I find hilarious. Yeah he lost weight, played decent in the summer league, and has nba experience now, but we shouldn’t expect much from him.

Holy crap Durant apologists…nobody said Wiggins will be better than Durant. The hope is simply that Lavine and Wiggins can develop into a great duo and the best one in the league right now is Durant and Westy. Goodness sakes, defensive much.

Lol at the people who think getting Love would make Cleveland good for 3 years…dude is 25 and has an old man style game. That will last. Even as Lebron regresses, he’ll be a really good player and he is smart enough to adapt his style of player when his athleticism starts going down.

Another LOL at the dude who listed a bunch of guys he’d take over KLove…people who get paid to have opinions about the NBA say Love is a top 10 player. He’s better than Melo, he’s better than Anthony Davis right now…maybe not in 3 years, but right now he is. He’s better than Harden. Seriously, including "a healthy Rose"…the guys hasn’t been healthy and who knows how he will be coming off knee injuries. His entire game is based on being freaky athletic. Take that away and he could regress.

Lillard, Batum, Matthews, Brandon Roy in his prime…all better than what Love has played with.

I’ll give you Lebron, Durant, Westy, Paul, and Howard. I’d even say Griffin (which kills me because he’s annoying as all hell). That makes Love the 7th best player in the league. Worst case he’s 10th. Either way, he makes the Cavs a legit championship favorite.
