Who will take a leap production wise?

Who does everyone think will provide more production this year? Either from getting more minutes or just improving their game.
I’m going to go with Otto Porter. He was talked about last year as the "safe" pick of the draft, but didn’t show much of that last year. He missed a decent amount of games early on in the season from an injury, and just seemed kind of lost out there when he returned. He has the whole off-season/pre-season to build more chemistry with his team, as well as having a year under his belt now. Trevor Ariza also signed with the Rockets, so that will open up quite a bit of playing time for Porter.
You could also say the same thing about Anthony Bennett. Last years #1 draft pick was consistently being called a bust after not proving to be worthy of the number one pick. I woulnd’t be surprised at all if Bennett turned it all around this year. I know not to put too much into summer league games, but he looked A LOT better then he did last year.
Lets hear everyone’s opinions…

I think Paul George’s numbers will take jump by default just by having a higher usage rate and scoring opportunities with Stephenson in Charlotte. Not to mention he’ll be able to roll the momentum from the World Cup into what should be a career year. Essentially I expect to see the PG from the early part of last season (possibly even better) sustain his play for all of ’15.
Also I’m anxious to watch Giannis as a full time starter with some experience under his belt. His numbers should improve in year two.

Donatas motiejunas, Kelly olynyk, Darren collison, Anthony Bennett (regardless of where he winds up), tony snell, Jeremy Lin, Giannis antetokoumpo, shabazz Muhammad, mkg, Steven Adams, Ed Davis, Shane Larkin, kent bazemore, marquis Teague, and James Ennis. These are all players primed for a breakout n the production department. There are some other players that I feel in my guy are going to, but thinking pragmatically, these are the players I have the most faith to believe in given the situations that they are in. I would include a player like Tobias Harris, but he could be looking at a reduced role with the acquisition of Aaron Gordon. Despite being a very promising young talent in his own right.
Please ask if you’d like to hear my reasoning about any of the aforementioned players. That’s just a few of them, the influx of talent in this league has been great for the game and it’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun to watch these guys come Into their own. And on the flip side, it’ll be sad to see some of these kids fall off. Either way, I’ll be watching

  My random thoughts on some of them, tell me what you think. As a twolves fan and after watching them in summer league shabazz is a PF in a SG body. He is a chucker, if he gets it he shoots which he still doesnt seem to have improved much, he still can’t dribble by anyone and he is still a below average defender. I dont think he will get much playing time or play that well until he becomes good in at least one of those. He is athletic and hustles but as of right now I don’t see much else.
  Darren collison got beat out by a 35 years old mike james last time he was starting and he played his best when he was playing along side chris paul last year. I think he will continue his 10 and 5 averages. I think mccallum has a chance to take some of his minutes.
  Hopefully steven adams starts. He is everything perkins should be and he compliments their other players by being tough on defense and rebounds and can finish close to the hoop. I could see him being a 8 to 10 pts and 8 to 10 rbs guy for them
  Antetokounmpo has a good chance to break out and get 15 ppg. He looked good in summer league. He probably wont run the offense much but he is good at getting to the hoop and finishing in traffic and his jumper looks better. I think this could be his somewhat break out year.

    I see what you’re saying about shabazz but his production has been so minimal and I believe he’ll inevitably get more pt this year. So given his chucker mentality he’ll probably put up some points and have a few big games. His effort should hopefully keep him on the floor but with what I’ve seen from and what’s happened with him since his prep days, I can’t completely vauge.
    darren collison is going to get a lot of time regardless of mccallums progressions. And collision played well off the bench for the clippers and the NBA is all about "what’ve you done for me lately". Splitting time with ray is way better than splitting time with cp3, he’ll see way more time than he did last year even if ray doesn’t screw up. But that’s all contingent on him not starting. Which he will.
    even if Steven Adams doesn’t start, which would be a travesty in it’s own right, he’s improved steadily at such a high rate that I have faith that he can break out in the same role. Idk how long brooks can justify starting Perkins with how Adams has shown.
    Giannis is a stud no ifs ands or buts about it.and they’re done rationing his minutes, he will be a triple double threat.

      Getting 12 and 6 after averaging 10 and 5 playing 30 minutes a night for his career isn’t breaking out. Shabazz is like corey brewer only he plays no defense. I think Favors will show an increase, I think last year taught him alot and he will use this off season to really work on things to improve his game, until now I think he thought he could just get by on natural athleticism but he learned that wasn’t enough and left after his exit interview with an attitude that he needed to work alot harder. IMO Alec Burks will also show marked improvement, he proved to himself that he can play in this league and this year he should make a jump.

Asik will have a MONSTER year especially defensively for NO. He and Anthony Davis will form the best defensive front court in the NBA.
Lamb will have a good year as he should earn the starting spot for OKC. Length and athleticism next to Westbrook and Durant will make him look much better than he actually is, but regardless he will be extremely productive compared to what little he did last year.

I think jordan hill of the lakers is really going to put up big numbers this year. He averaged 9 and 8 in 20 minutes last year. He is projected to be the lakers starting center and if he gets at least 30 mpg I can see him averaging at least 14 &11.

A lot of injuries, Kidd’s rookie year coaching, Lawrence Frank thing . I think pierce still has 15-16 ppg in him, hell with Wall and Beal Pierce doesnt have to do much. He can just splash 3’s, create a lil bit, he’s still clutch and can really be great for developing Otto Porter.

Andre Drummond is ranked number one on my M.I.P. award list as of now. Free agency and trades are still in play so Im not posting it yet but he has everything going for him with or without Monroe/Smith.

Im sceptical on your picks – I doubt Otto has the body and more improtantly, the mentality, to be a legit NBA strarter. Remember, after his debut with the Wizz in last year’s SL, he confessed, that he’s been cought off guard by the speed of the game with the pros. He had a rough start and basicly, his whole season went that way. About Bennett – I’ve been high on him so far, even after his rookie campaign, Im confident he has the potential to be a good NBA player, but if he’s not on the deal for Love, and Love eventually sign with the Cavs, I don’t think he’ll get enough minutes to show much more production than last year.

However I do think his production will increase greatly from what it was last year (I could also be completly wrong lol). He admitted the speed of the game caught him off guard, but that was at the beginning of the season last year. A lot of rookies have to get adjusted to the speed of the game, he just happened to talk about it with the media. All of them will have better numbers this season especially Asik.

Non-rookies off the top of my head: Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes, Waiters, Oladipo, CZeller, Trey Burke, Tobias Harris.
There’s a couple more youngsters and some rookies (Smart, McDermott) on the team that are practicing vs Team USA this summer, and I expect them all to get a little/a lot better because of the competition.
