So who would you guys out in a team of your favourites?

PG. Ty Lawson – I love PG’s that facilitate and Lawson is really great at it, not too mention he can score in bunches at times as well. He us lightning quick and fun too watch now if he can just stay healthy.

SG. Demar Derozan – The fact that he continues to get better each year is huge and he is a scorer at the SG position which I am always a fan of. Wing scorers are always a favourite of mine.

SF. Paul George – Its been a long time since Indiana had a player that I just had too watch. The fact he plays for Indiana is huge in my books, but I just love the way he plays and in particular he ability to use screens and hit jumpers off of them. He is only getting better, so Im excited no doubt.

PF. David West – I like PF’s that can stretch the floor and out the ball in the basket. His toughness is undeniable and all though he isnt as good as he once was he still has spectacular moments from time to time. Also really like Sullinger and think West is a guy he should model his game on.

    C. DeAndre Jordan – I love the big athletic and defensive C’s. Not to mention the guy cracks me up and is one of the personable guys IMO in the NBA today. He just knows what he is good at and does that very well. Big fan of Adams being a New Zealander, but I need more from him.

Rookie – Zach Lavine from UCLA and jst a freak athlete.

    Sophomore – “The Greek Freak”

PG:  Mike Conley – Admire how he’s improved each year.  Great on defense as well.

SG:  Klay Thompson – Just love how he does so many different things for the Warriors on both offense (working within the offense) and defense (helping offset Curry’s deficiencies)

SF:  Giannis Antetokounmpo – Amazed by his skill set at a young age and how he represents the position-less style of basketball that the NBA is shifting towards.  Such an intriguing player with so much potential.

PF:  Tim Duncan – Only the greatest power forward to ever play.  Such a great player who has adapted his game as the style of the team changed and is such a termendous leader.

C:  Joakim Noah – Love his no-fear, relentless energy style of play.  Not only that but he’s impressed me with his ability to contribute on offense with his passing.

     Biased Version:

    PG Ty Lawson
    SG Danny Green
    SF Vince Carter
    PF John Henson
    C  Ed Davis

    Non biased version:

PG Ty Lawson (does not get the credit he deserves.  You wonder how in the hell he averaged 9 apg last season looking at who he was passing to.  I wish he was in the east, he would be a lock as an all-star every year out there)

SG Lance Stephenson (Love his bad ass attitude.  He isn’t afraid of a challenge.  I don’t care about him harassing the NBA’s golden boy, but he knows how to play, and he does whatever it takes to win).

SF Kawhi Leonard (What is there not to love about this kid?  Humble, fun to watch, has gotten steadily better every year, plays every posession like it his last)

PF The Brow (I know he mainly plays center, but what a unique player)

C  Andre Drummond (Mainly for proving me wrong.  This kid is a manchild who is fun to watch and if he continues will be one of the best to ever play, IMHO)

Did anyone else find it hard to find a full time PF?

PG: Patty Mills – Saw him live when he played for Australia and loved his effort and ability to put the ball in the basket.  He makes great improvements every seasons and never seems rattled by the competition.
SG: Tony Allen – His hustle has always impressed me and I’ve always he was underrated.
SF: Kevin Durant – When I first started following the NBA the Thunder were underdogs with promise and I always liked supporting teams like that.  Durant was emerging as a superstar at the time so it made sense for me to support as a player, and I’ve continued to do so.
PF: Chris Bosh – I feel that Bosh is underrated as a player.  He was a 24-10 in Toronto and I respected the sacrifices he had taken to make the Heat champions.
C: Steven Adams – I’m a Kiwi, I have to be behind this guy.  Even if I wasn’t a New Zealander, his easygoing personality off the court and stone cold demenor on the court make him a likeable sportsman.

    Rookie: Dante Exum

    Sophomore: Giannis Antetokounmpo

PG-Steph Curry-Favorite player in NBA one of the purest strokes or all time.

SG-Gereld Green- Crazy athleticism and now he is developing skills… Watch out

SF-Kevin Durant-Best scorer in the NBA, liked him since UT days

PF-Dirk Nowitzki- Mavs fan so I gotta have a Dirk on my list

Center-Demarcus Cousins-Mixtures of size, skill, and athleticism makes him dealt. Wants he gets a Lego team around him he’ll be the best center in the NBA.

Rookie-Nik Stauskas/Jabari Parker- Stauskas can flat out shoot and I like Jabari skill set and array of moves.

Sophomore-Greek Freak- some day the Bucks will be that "Team on the Rise"

    PG: Russel Westbrook/Steph Curry

    SG: Kobe Bryant

    SF: Carmelo Anthony

    PF: LaMarcus Aldridge

    C: Andre Drummond

    Rookie: Andrew Wiggins

Russel Westbrook, this guy is all about emotion and as a fan when you see that you can’t help but get fired up. He is the heart of the team in my opinion. He is finally starting to look like a lead guard with his poised play at the helm. He can be a defensive menace if he chooses to and gets the right coach (Sorry Scott but I’m tired of your ISO-plays and defensive schemes or lack thereof). This guy gets so much hate for his team’s shortcomings. KD and Scott always seem to escape the critics’ eye.

Steph Curry, what more can be said about this man’s shooting touch? I just love seeing how he manuevers by guys with his advanced ball handling skills. He’s always dribbling with a purpose is what I love about him. His passing ability also doesn’t get enough credit but he is a fantastic passer.

Kobe Bryant, a true competitor who will not back down against anyone. I love his heart and mental toughness. What sets him apart I guess would be his supreme confidence in himself and team. It takes only one person to believe in something in order to inspire others and that’s what the Lakers (right now) is all about. We may not have the best and most talented team but their leader’s confidence just rubs off of everyone and its fans so if he says they’re going to reach the playoffs, I wouldn’t put my money against him and the team.

Carmelo Anthony, call me what you want but I love under dogs. I love how people just sleep on this guy’s talent. He’s a top 5 player no questions asked. Plus that shooting form is a thing of beauty. Perhaps, the tag "no D" can be rectified with Derek Fisher at the helm.

LaMarcus Aldridge, at first I was really frustrated with this guy. I always thought he could have been more. He showed flashes of dominance before and finally now with a better starting 5 talent around him he is showing the league what his broad shoulders can carry. He is finally averaging double digit rebounds and comes up big in clutch situations. He is in my top 7 players in the league easily. Close debate between the three though: Blake, Love and Aldridge.

Andre Drummond, yes, you can call me a fan boy. But I just think that this guy will dominate the league (if he isn’t already) on a more consistent and complete basis in just a few years time. He is huge, fast, quick and athletic. Perhaps no other center comes closer to Shaq in terms of raw potential that this guy (may be Greg Oden). He is just a fantastic talent and I’ve been following him since his HS days. I just hope he gains the proper positioning on defense in order to be called a true rim protector but as Stan’s resume dictates he’ll be just fine under Stan Van Gundy.

I’ll do one of all time, maybe not the best at their positions but my personall favorites:

PG: Jason Kidd – as much as i loved watching Magic in my youth, i really learned to appreciate the game more in my teenage years and Kidd was one of my favorite players. loved the fact that he always seemed so team first and would get everyone involved. loved that he make NBA journey men into guys who would be making a name for themselves. i wouldnt have noticed or appreciated Aaron Williams or Todd McCoullah if it wasnt for Kidd. also had one of the best all around games in the late 90’s to early 2000’s.

SG: Penny Hardaway – used primarily as a point guard in his peak, the natural play making shooting guard will always be the player i thought would be better than Jordan growing up. i would cheer for him hard and was so happy when his magic defeated the bulls and advanced to the NBA finals. his defense, court vision, scoring abilities to me were all top notch.

SF: Scottie Pippen – I cant say enough on how much i respect this guy’s game. anything and everything he would do on the court. the single most complete basketball ive ever witnessed, bar none. but the thing that made me respect him so much as a player was how, as good and better than most he was, he didnt cause any locker room issues of not being the main man. the NBA and their fans would be so lucky to get another scottie pippen.

PF: Dennis Rodman – as much as i cheered for pippen, he wasnt my favorite player on the second chicago threepeat. it was the worm, dennis rodman. i idolozed his approach to the game, to impact it when you dont have the ball. to get at it when youre on defense. one of the best that there ever was, and to paraphrase Magic Johnson, "there will never be another dennis rodman"

C: Hakeem Olajowan – to me, he will always be the best center of all time. i know bill russell has all those championships, wilt had the monstor numbers, kareem with the combination of both and shaq’s devastating power and overshadowing his peers, and it doesnt matter. the dream will always be the most complete center to me. great offensive abilities and even better defenisve ones. the guy was liquid on the court and could out manuver anybody.

PG) Steph Curry – One of the best pure jump shooters I have ever seen.  Fell in love with his play when he had the monster game against the Knicks at The Garden when David Lee was suspended, and he told Jackson he wasn’t coming out the entire game.

SG) Bradley Beal – Love the leap he took in his game this past season, and think in the next year or two him and John Wall will for the best backcourt in the NBA.

SF) Paul George – May never become the elite top 5 player people were thinking after the 2013 playoffs, but even if he grades out as a Scottie Pippen type player, he will go down as a great.

PF) Blake Griffen – What a difference a year makes.  Before this past season I would have had him on my least favorite starting 5, but with his improved mid range jump shot, and a real commitment to the defensive end of the floor this year, I love watching Griffen play every minute I can.

    C) Marc Gasol – Player that just does everything right.  The kind of guy every team in the league can use.

6th Man) Isaiah Thomas – Premature/kind of cheating here, but if Thomas comes off the bench for the Suns this year how much fun will be to watch that second unit.

Rookie) Dante Exum – Seems very level headed, has immense upside, great length and I think will be a great pro.

Soph) Dennis Schroder – Love his ball skills and defense.  Think if he gets serious playing time he can be the next Rondo type.

    The guys I root for…

    • PG:        Rajon Rondo (Favorite player, so unique and hyper competitive)
    • PG/SG: Stephen Curry (I know hes a PG, I just have always loved this guy to leave him out)
    • SF:        Danilo Gallinari (I hate that he tore his ACL he was about to break out)
    • PF:        Anthony Davis (Could be a top 3 player as early as next year I believe)
    • C:         JaVale McGee (So entertaining and seemingly dominates all the attention when he plays..lol

Rookie:  Randle (UK fan, and always root for highly scrutinized players)

SOPH:   Noel  (would actually love him if he wasnt from UK, crazy athletic and unique)

Highly scrutinized?  Dude you live in a f*ckin fantasy world.  The Kentucky bias and nut riding is overboard.  You come off as a such a clown it’s absurd.  You think the entire world is against every Kentucky player for some odd reason.  Where the hell is this dude so "highly scrutinized"?  Cry about it.  You’re a laughing stock every time you post.

PG – Derrick Rose or Chris Paul, both haven’t really excited me since like 2011-12 but they’re still my favorite point guards ever to watch.

SG – Prime Kobe or D Wade – self explanitory, Wade’s game makes me sick now though, those pump fake foul draws ughh

SF – Nic Batum – Perfect team player, extremely versatile, has the ability to guard the better SFs in the league.

PF – Dirk Nowitzki – Revolutionary top 25 player ever

C – Joakim Noah – High energy, no quit, brilliant passer and defender. Most versatile bigman in the league.

PG-Chris Paul-at a time where athleticism is dominating the position, he is the best by using skill and smarts.

SG-Anthony Morrow-has been on some bad teams, was hoping he would end up with LeBron after LeBron said he would like to play with him.  At least he is on a good team now.

SF-Lebron James-don’t care for off the court stuff too much but my god he is good.

PF-Lamar Odom-my play style, defensively can adequately hold down the post but on offense it’s all match up basketball; if your small I’m playing big and if you big I’m taking you outside.

C-Deandre Jordan-when he dunks it looks computer animated.

PG-Derrick Rose. Just an all out attacker, and does his thing without hiding behind thr 3 point line.

SG-Monta Ellis. He has his flaws, but again his fearless attitude and proficiency getting to the basket at his size are fun to watch.

SF-Andre Iguodala. Easily my favorite player. I love wings/bigs who can make plays for others. Never plays PG but is consistently the best passer on his team. Animal defender, just does it all.

PF-Boris Diaw. Was a bigger fan before he got into all the croissants, but again, always his team’s best passer. Has just such a great feel for the game.

C-Joakim Noah. Just an absolute game-changer. To start a team id take him over anyone not named LeBron or Durant. Makes everyone around him better on both sides of the ball. Never have tp question his effort, and another great playmaker from a non-PG

And for what its worth, I hate Westbrook, Ginobili, Carmelo, Z-Bo, and McGee

    PG: Damian Lillard

     – He has a big heart and steps up in the clutch. He plays with a chip on his shoulder. I love his quick first step driving left, his hesitation dribble and how quickly he pulls up to shoot. He’s not a freak athlete, but he’s a great athlete who attacks the basket without fear. He’s humble and a hard worker. He’s driven to be great.

    SG: Gordon Hayward

     – I’ve been a fan since high school. He’s just one of those players who does everything better than what you think. Plus he just plays the game the right way and is a "team first" player.

    SF: Paul George

     – I love players who play both ends of the floor and George is THAT dude to me. He has that perfect athletic build that you love for wing players. I love his height, length and athleticism. He brings a swagger to the Pacers that they haven’t had since Reggie Miller. He still has work to do offensively, but I think the sky is the limit. He gets better every season.

    PF: Anthony Davis

     – He’s another one of those players where I just feel the sky is the limit. His height, athleticism and just so much length. The way he runs the floor. The way he hustles and plays both ends of the floor. He has God given timing at the defensive end. It’s only a matter of time before he’s the best at his position and a top five player in the NBA. Throw in the fact he’s an extremely humble player and hard working.

    C:

    – N/A. It was Roy Hibbert, but after his performance after the All-Star break and in the playoffs, I’m barely even supporting him as a Pacer.

Rose, he’s overcome so many challenges. I want him to win, I can’t hate on a family guy that is humble.

    Kobe. I’m a Lakers fan….

Leonard. He’s from Cali, around where I live. I’d put George here, but he’s changed a bit since college, personality-wise, and Kawhi’s so quiet and respectable. Nice story. Jimmy Butler for his story, too.

Davis. He was the 1st pick of the first draft I ever saw, so I hope he becomes what everyone talks about. Next KG, Tim, a perfect PF for this era of the NBA.

For Center, I’ll cheat and say KG. His competitiveness, his game, his personality are all too much for me. Easily one of the best ever.
