Meditated StatesParticipantThere is no way he should go in the 40’s. The Rockets made out on this one. They wont have to pay him much either. They got lottery or at least top 20 talent. What do you think?

SmooveKRYPTParticipantBlair was expected to go higher, but Budinger is more talented…the Rockets came up big time, Jermaine Taylor AND Chase Budinger, when they started off with no picks, I’m proud to be a Rockets fan 2day, great job front office!!!

kaceyParticipantI think Blair is the steal. The Spurs won’t initially have to give him a guaranteed 3 year contract, although I’m sure he will get a nice deal. From what I read his knees are fine. He may not have a long career, but he will definitely be a worthy NBA player. Going to the Spurs, one of the most professional franchises will help him tremendously.
Up to the draft, all I read about Budinger was that he looked weak in workouts and couldn’t battle with the bigger guys. Maybe if the right opportunity presents itself he could be a solid role player. He is athletic and can shoot, so you would think he would be a solid pro.

deshawynkeys91ParticipantBlair a surprise… Budinger no so much. and a bigger steal is d. brown of xavier in a couple of years ppl are going to be looking at a j. howard type that they passed on
Blair is going to be a clear steal mostly b/c of the team he lands with… on the spurs he will have a chance to come off the bench and get good minutes taking up the role of a k. thomas over the next few yrs.
About 5-6 weeks ago i made 3 draft predictions and they went like this:
1. e. clark is going to be a lottery pick. *and will be one of the top 5 players from this draft
2. b.j mullens will not be drafted before d. blair. –> was wrong about this one but mullens did go late 1st round
3. c. budinger will be a late 1st round to early 2nd round pick and there is no way he is selected before t. williams/ s. young/ e. maynor / d. summers
and just in advance top five players from this draft in order: (in five years)
1. d. derozan
2. b. jennings
3. b. griffin
4. t. evans

armanyou cannot say that cause guy is good enough to be at least first rounder and is way better than some players drafted in first round…..i personally think that hes should go to minny at 18. cause he will be perfect sg/sf after miller leaving….
curry and jennings will be the best players that comes out of this draft… i dont think griffin is going to be very good cause hes in the clips0

no1Participantomg wow budinger is a scrub there is a reason he went in round 2. He is stupid as well. He coulda left after his freshmen yr and been a top 10 pick instead he came bak twice. he is a fool and deserves to play in europe.

Sorry.Winning.ParticipantThis draft was seriously depressing, watching taj gibson go 26th and james johnson go 16th then chase budinger going in the mid 2nd round. I think about 75% of these scouts should be fired especailly what was minnesota thinking drafting back to back point gaurds with the 5th and 6th!!!!!

D HampParticipant1. How Chase Budinger fell to pick 44 I will never understand. I had be being drafted somewhere between 20-22.
2. San Antionio again proved last night why they have the best NBA scouts. Blair is a steal. He, Duncan and Gooden will be a good tandem together.

D HampParticipantDevo not getting drafted was crazy. I can’t believe it. Well, I guess it was meant to be. What more is there to say. Dude could play in the league, but it’s every college player’s dream to become drafted.

Stanford hoopsParticipantchase went where he was suppossed to go..first of all he was hyped up comming out of highschool..people just saw what he did against inferior competiion so no one really knew his flaws yet..after his freshman year the picture became a lil more clearer but not fully so people still figured he would get better and show ability on top of him being a high jumper( notice i didnt say athlete)..then the next 2 years his flaws really started to show and teams started to realize he wasnt as good as they thought or hoped he would become..hes not a great athlete though he is a good leaper hes not quick, slow first step and average -below average lateral quickness on top of him not being tough and not dominating in college thats why he went as low as he did..most steals in the second round drop because of health or lack of height or playing against inferior competition but they pretty much dominated some aspect or just played very very well…boozer was a allamerican millsap lead the nation in rebounding gildert and redd were very very good in there last years of college..chase can shoot but he isnt tough at all so it will be interesting to see if he even makes the team

bluedevils12Participantbelieve that devo didnt get drafted. but wat i can believe is how in the hell did new orleans not pick dam young!! he seems a good fit for the hornets a good defender can score form anywhere. with peja being hurt all the time i was jus sure young would get picked then. he is THE STEAL of this years draft
