I’m amazed at how little hype Ben Simmons gets considering he’s about to enter his senior year. I know people can get a little over excited when a HS player dominates, but in my opinion Simmons is so NBA ready that he could get minutes for an NBA team right now.

It seems ridiculous that he has to wait 2 or 3 more years before he plays an NBA game but I know rules can’t be catered for such a small minority.

The thing that impresses me so much is that he has no weaknesses and seems to win every match/tournament he plays in.

If they had a choice, I bet Philly, Cleveland or Milwaukee would trade their "Big 3" pick for draft rights to Simmons in a heartbeat.

This guy is cant-miss and will be mentioned alongsode Lebron and Durant in a few years.

Guys like Rabb, Newman and Zimmerman have upside but don’t belong on Simmon’s class. The only other 6’8 guy Ive seen with his handles, passing and finishing is Lebron.

Your call…are we witnessing the next big thing?

Too big a call for now.

I hope so, as I am a massive Simmons fan.

In highschool he is generally as big and strong as everybody else on the court.  When he plays at college, we will see if he remains as dominant when he shares the court with bigger and stronger players.  Until I see him dominate at the college level I cant confidently say he will be a star in the NBA.

However, he certainly appears to be on the right path.  I find the most impressive thing about his game is that even if he only scores 10 or 12 points in a game, he still seems to be the most impressive player on the floor.

    Lets all wait and see!

Cant wait for the World Championships in August, both Exum and Simmons are named in the squad.

He reminds me more of Ben Wilson than he does Lebron.

He’s not under hyped OP. He’s ranked #1 in his class. And this past years draft is considered the best in 10 years so rightfully he has been talked about less than this draft class and also next years which is looking solid. And saying he’s garaunteed to be a can’t miss is ridiculous. No one is a garauntee to be successful in the league. Putting a 17 year old in the conversation with LeBron and Durant is ludicrous. That said. He looks good so far. That’s all.
