festar35ParticipantSo what are your guys thoughts on him?
I feel that he is the best SG on the Knicks roster and all though he may not be the starter as season begins he will have it by All-Star break. I think he could be a big part of the Knicks striving for the play-offs. He could be a very sound and consistent 2nd scoring option at about 17-18ppg if given the chance. Offensively he very much reminds me of Klay Thompson and could see similar production.
Defensively he needs a lot of work, but as most of us know it is more about effort than anything so I look forward to watching his development.

Mr. HookShotParticipantKnicks would be wise to give him plenty of minutes, for one because he seems less streaky in his 3pt-shot than guys like Shumpert and J.R. Smith. He shot 36% from 3 last year and adding more experience to his smooth release I see no reasons why that percentage wouldn’t trend upwards.

IhateusernamesParticipantSmith has always been a boom or bust player. Either he’s hit or he’s cold. Guys like that are more suited for the bench.
Hardaway should start.

machu46ParticipantHardaway basically looks like a better version of JR Smith at this point. I’m still not high on him being a part of the core in the future, and I definitely don’t see him as a #2 option on a good team, but he’s the best option New York has at the moment.
We’ll see how he does in the regular season. I would hope he isn’t nearly as selfish as he’s been so far in the Summer League, but I also expect his efficiency to take a slight hit as well.
The thing that makes Klay Thompson such a great prospect as a SG is that not only is he an elite shooter, but he’s also a very solid defender and an unselfish player as well. He’s mainly used off the ball, but he can handle and pass too. Just a very well-rounded SG. Hardaway is strictly a shooter, and he isn’t as good a shooter as Klay (at this point in time).
