Captain LParticipantThat’s why I wanted my Jazz to take him at 5 but Orlando didn’t let it happen!

AdamJCallejaParticipantAll NBA players shine in a pro-am. I still really like AG tho, he need to just keep working on that jumper though. He’s definitely has a tighter handle than people think, but his movements are too herky jerky so he can’t really blow by NBA small forwards (Similar to Shabazz Muhammad).

TarHeelRavenParticipantIf pro-am highlights were indicative of how an NBA player would turn out then all NBA players would be all-star first team all pros…

bloodshyParticipant-7 for posting an entertaining video of a freakishly talented/athletic player destroying weak competition? Tough crowd.
Personally, I thought the video was entertaining and was pretty impressive–glad you posted it. Obvious the competition was super weak, but the simple reality that he can dribble, jump and move like that (even if he had no one on him) is at least a little impressive. I really hope AG becomes a star. He’s so gifted. That said, I worry his shooting + the tweener issue could shut him down. I really hope he works hard and develops so that doesn’t happen.

Lotto StudParticipantAs I stated earlier, depsite the level of competition, I am very impressed with his ballhandling & passing ability. I never knew he was capable of making those type of looks with the ball, which shows he does have IQ. People will take what they want from this footage and run with it, which is the least of my worries.
So many knocks on this guy as a tweener, that those people overlook what he can actually bring to the table. It’s more than just a lower-level competition video to me.

kazamParticipantA Pro-Am video means nothing to a players ability. He stil cannot create off the dribble for himself which was exposed in Orlando Summer League nearly every time he put the ball on the floor. Awkward using ball screens, shot is still not consistent.

tuck243Participantindicates that he’s not as good as those moves he did, which majority of the time he didn’t go anywhere with them, unless he did a behind the back… It look good, but I wouldn’t say his handles are great… I saw Kevin Willis with some of the best handles ever playing around on the sideline… He’s an NBA player… Have to expect a lot of these guys are capable of decent handles… AG just has his head down when doing his though, so it’s hard for me to come from this blown away…
