Skeating12345ParticipantIf Derrick Rose comes back as the Rose we all know, the East is the Bull’s to lose. They are going to be scary good this year if he is in full health. You have a top 5 player in the NBA when healthy (Rose), the BEST frontcourt in the east (Gasol, Noah, Gibson), not including sharpshooters in McDermmot, Mirotic, and Snell, who have been destroying the SL, and Jimmy Butler who has established himself as one of the best perimeter defenders in the League. The Bulls are my early favorite to win the East if Rose is healthy.

ChewyParticipantThe Gasol signing isn’t as flashy as Melo, but it is a good one. We now have two very good passing bigs in Gasol and Noah. Taj has clearly shown he can handle starters minutes. I’m happy with any combination of those 3 bigs.
Do we need Dunleavy back? He seems redundant with Dougie on board now.
Jimmy established himself last year and Snell looks to be a rotation shoe in for this year.
I am cautiously optomistic about what form D Rose will be in when he returns. Rose at less than 100% is still an improvement for this team.
Mirotic comes into a loaded front court. I hope this helps him ease into his NBA transition. I’m hoping he is a major part of this team by the time Gasol’s contract runs out.
The big question is: can anyone create offense other than Rose? I don’t think so. So this team will have to rely heavily on ball movement to score.
Looks like Tibs can acctually play his bench this year!

JJ_PRParticipantThe Bulls have depth at every position. They still need another backup point guard but they are loaded. Pau Gasol is a great addition for them. Meanwhile, Doug McDermott proving that he can contribute from day one. He and Tony Snell are two young guys that will contribute on that team next year.

2quick4uParticipanti think they are the most balanced team in the east by far.. they are the spurs of the east.
like you said they have the best frontcourt with the defensive player of the year and one of the best passing bigs in noah, they now have someone who can create his own shot and pass it to the shooters when double-team in gasol, they have a beast in gibson and a luxury in mirotic, a player that could start right now in more than half of the teams in the league..
rose doesn’t have to be at a mvp level, i think that if he’s at an all-star level will make it. something like 17-18ppg and 7ast is good enough.
they now have really good shooters in mcdermmot, mirotic, snell and also dunleavy and fredette..
they have depth.
they all are hard workers, good defensive and willing players and unselfish with high IQ and skilled.
like chewy said, i think all they need to complete the team is a SG able to create offense.. my ideal choice would be evan turner, i think he would fit perfect in this team..if not possible may be oj mayo?
