CanadianGMParticipantThis division looks solid 1 through 8. I don’t see a sub .500 team making the playoffs this year. Indiana will be similar to last year, Cleveland with James, Wiggins becomes upper tier. Chicago has healthy Rose and will probably get Pau or Stevenson. New York is they resign Carmelo and can get Pau are now top 4. I like their line up compared with two years ago when they were the No.2 seed in the East. Toronto brings back the same lineup that finished the regular season better than Indiana after the Rudy Gay trade.(6-13 start, 42-21 after trade.) That would be 55 win pace over the course of a full season. Washington gets a year older and has strong starting lineup. Miami cold plug Deng into James spot and go from NBA finalist to strong challenger with news of Bosh and Wade coming back. Atlanta brings back a healthy Horford and should have a solid starting lineup.
That is 8 playoff quality teams- Indiana, Cleveland, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Washington, Miami, Atlanta.
2 Playoff contenders in Brooklyn and Charlotte look to be the odd teams out but even they are quality teams. Who might surprise this year- Magic are a year older and Payton/ Oladipo look promising. Boston, Philly, Milwaukee, Detroit look to be rebuilding but no necessarily tanking like they did last year. Even the bottom 4 will play hard and will give contenders a good game. It doesn’t look like the minor leagues like in past years.

Sewok15ParticipantHow are the Knicks are playoff quality team? Even if they do bring Melo back they are the same team with Calderon and Early.
I would take Brooklyn and Charlotte ahead of them for sure at this point.

TenSecondTomParticipantThere are only two teams that can make the finals at the moment. Indiana and Cleveland. Lets see if Rose can play through half a season before we put them in the discussion and lets see what Miami does to fill out the roster around Bosh and Wade. The rest of the teams are pure playoff fillers and legiaitely have no shot before the season even starts. While the power in the league has evened out a bit today, the NBA is still the most top heavy league in pro sports and if I gave everyone 5-6 chances to guess the 2014 NBA champions I’m sure 90% of you would be able to pick the team before the regular season starts.

omphalosParticipantI think Charlotte makes the post-season again, BK is out and Detroit is a chance with SVG.
