LeFlopJAMESParticipantIf some team offers 10 mil x year to Ariza, WIZ will let him go.
Maybe a 3 years x 25 million is right for TrevorARIZ?0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/02/2014 - 12:19am #931097
theballerwayParticipantThats a lot when you consider the deals they have just given Gortat and Wall a year ago. Plus Beal will be due a raise in the next year or two. They also have Porter and Webster to try and fill some of his production with.
2/25 sounds decent

r377ParticipantI would rather pay Parsons or Hayward $10-12 mill than Ariza @ $8 mill….

theballerwayParticipantthe starting price for Gordon/ Hayward is $12mill posibly going up to $14 plus should a bidding war star. The stats are very similar for all 3 players. Ariza scores 2 points less per game as a 3/4th option. He had a highest 3 point percentage and the most rebound of the group. 3 years gives them even tow years gives them time to bring porter them time to devlop. In that think 3 years might not be bad for a vetran wing that can d up, defend and spread the foor

Mr. HookShotParticipantWhether you go for Ariza or Hayward/Parsons really depends on what you want in your SF. If you want an athletic 3&D guy who can defend the best player but is limited in creating his own shot, you pick up the (cheaper) Ariza. If you looking for someone who can create his own shot or for others, I would go for Parsons or Hayward (with Hayward especially being a good passer).

ghettosermonParticipantTeams looking at Ariza (wizards, lakers, heat, cavs) aren’t looking for him to create offense. They are looking for him to space the floor, play tough D, and rebound things he is superior to Hayward and Parsons. So yeah if that’s what you need in your SF paying him 8 to 10 mil a year on a max 4 year deal is not ludicrous. Ariza is one of those teammates everyone loves.

tuck243ParticipantNormally he’s mediocre until it’s contract year and then he turns it on… He’s shown this already so I wouldn’t pay $12 Million… Doesn’t mean he won’t get it…

celtics1982ParticipantHe’s improved as a 3 point shooter, but at 29 in what was his best season he had a 15.87 per, a little above average. Now he is a great 3 and D guy and per doesn’t does not count his great D. Looking at his career numbers, can you really think he’ll give you what he did last year for 3 or 4 straight years? His numbers have been up and down his whole career.
Now he’ll look at Avery Bradley’s contract and think he deserves more. The difference is Boston is paying for what they think Bradley will become. He’s only 23 keeps getting better. At 29 Ariza is what he is.

21yoGMParticipantHis current contract was signed when he was coming off a championship and was a lot younger. 29 is not old at all. But I do t think he’s worth much more then he’s getting now. Maybe a million just because the wizards want to keep him around. But with the money they spent on gortat and will spend on Bradley beal, overpaying Ariza would handicap there future
