If I’m Houston why not go all out.
There are rumors that the wolves want klay but gs doesn’t want to give him up there are also rumors they want parsons.
Hou can flat out sign melo once they move lin and should get atleast some future picks back for lin if not give up one,
so if melo signs there first they have the ability to get love sign parsons to a 10 mil contract afterwards
throw in the pelicans pick,
throw in capella,
throw in a pick from next year and another future pick and rights to swap
throw in Motiejunas maybe even a tj or Jordan
and a gang of second rounder
then make the call
this reminds me of the howard to L,A trade nobodys giving up a lot to for a player who might not sign back
with melo,harden,howard in play Im pretty certain love would resign there and they would be a power house in the west. Also once howard and melo are gone love and harden could still be built around.
the cavs gm said he pays a lot of attention to rumors he said at draft day a lot of the rumors he heard weren’t true he found out.
so if the teams are paying attention to the landscape and the rumors they have an idea that this could be done.
I think it would be a power move and its not to far fetch hou could be loyal to parson or make a power move that would rattle the west.
once they declined parson all hell broke lose no one seen it coming.
I had parson returning after they signed melo or attempted to. I don’t see them trading parson if they don’t have melo at all they would need him back ,but if melo is there they could go love or keep parson. I would go for love.

It’s never gonna happen. I personally am not a fan of Melo to Houston. If they can get love though, they should. I know this team needs defense but Love would be a great fit. He would help Dwight on the boards and that means less chances for teams to score on a bad defensive team and he spreads the floor. Plus, he becomes your second option taking pressure off Dwight. Howard is going into his 11th year. He’s not gonna get you 22ppg. Get Love and let Howard get his off of lobs, O rebounds and an occasional post touch. I like Chandler Parsons but for Love I would trade him. I’m sure there is a 3 way trade that could happen to make this work. Parsons, T Jones, J Lin(Who while expensive I think has some value) and Capela plus picks should be able to get this done. I know it isn’t the top 5 picks everyone wants for love but I think it keeps Minny competitive with a young core to develop together. They would be lacking that star but probably would be bad enough to draft one in 2015.

its funny Brooklyn can have kg,brook,deron,joe Johnson , paul ,Andrei
the heat players can opt out and sign new deals so they can bring in a another addition.
but the rockets cant out right sign melo and trade parsons for love???? are you serious “moresteals”?
why aren’t the rockets allowed if they have the ability to do it?

I don’t think klay is going to the wolves that’s why they drafted zack lavine instead.
how many teams will give up anything for love with out the guarantee he will sign back? we have seen how that worked in the howard trade most of the star players are on other teams Dwight,iggy,and arron are all on new teams.
who will trade for love with out insurance he will sign back? I highly doubt the warriors will gut their roster for love that’s a step back a little and they gave up a lot just for iggy.

joecheck I think its worth it also magic didn’t get a top 5 for howard and okc didn’t get a top 5 for harden.Wolves don’t have much leverage everyone knows he’s leaving so more times then not getting a top pick anyway love is going to a playoff team not a rebuilding one.

melo could play with harden. Harden played with kd, and russel and made it to the championship.
we know they are pursuing both but if they have a chance to actually get both take it.

  I think parsons and the gm worked out a deal where the decline his option and pay him a year earlier I read a couple articles writers said the same thing. Anyone a be happy to get more money now and they can get a little wiggle room under the cap until they sign him back so all in all they will make him happier . Whether its to keep or sign and trade they will sign and match whatever is offered.
  the heat players opted out and we all know their returning dirk opted out and we know hes not leaving the mavs some move are made to be mutually beneficial.
  I think parson is going to be happy by this move and getting paid a year early because by all means they didn’t have to decline they could have kept him making 1 million next season but they did. so hes getting paid a year earlier and they will get a little flexibility .

    But the players you named are not restricted free agents. Its a total different story if the player is a rfa. Utah is in a similar situation with Hayward. If we match the offer we can’t trade him for a year from my understanding.
