Some of you might have seen his game at Nike Hoop Summit 2013:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtrJ3kWJVz0

and his game with AUS U19 team vs Spain at 2013:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMAhDKEo9wM

but this one is a new one(new one on the web, not a recent game):
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGjkqrDRkKY

It is the final of the 2013 Australian Schools Championship. His jump shot definitely needs improvement. Also, what I noticed is that he settles for 3-pointers way too much, especially having in mind his quickness and ability to go to the rim. Something that impressed me and I haven’t necessarily seen in any of his other videos is his exquisite passing skills. I was quite shocked when I saw that game. I realize it is just a high school game, but damn, he does it all when it comes to passing – bullet passing, passing with a bounce, drive and kick, drive and dish, alley-oop, transition passing…. His passing seems accurate and on the point, and his vision and awareness of the positioning of his teammates – very very good. He finished the game with 20 points and struggled with his shooting but at the same time facilitated his teammates with 15 assists.

Both in the games at Nike Hoop Summit and at the U19 World championship he seemed to impress with scoring rather than passing, but this last video leads me to believe that this was more due to what was asked of him. He seems very versatile to me and I can’t wait to see him in the Summer League in a couple of weeks.

It’s like he is a 6’6 version of Monta Ellis. He probably has a better IQ and won’t have as bad if a shot selection. I’m really starting to like the direction the Jazz are going. Burke, Exum, and Gordon Heyward give the Jazz 3 permiter guys that can score and are good passers, while Derrick Favors can be the defensive anchor. That’s a good core group of players, and have some potential with Alecs Burks, Enes Kanyer, and Rudy Gobert.

I see the Penny comparisons with this guy. Even though he is a blur at 6’6, he is not vertically explosive. The fact that he’s that quick and tall while not being able to jump over defenders is a concern right now but moving forward he can do two things to remedy this: get stronger and practice finishing creatively ala Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade (prime). I see him as a 6’6 Dwyane Wade more than a Monta Ellis but Monta is and will always be an undersized shooting guard that has a sweet stroke while Wade and Exum relies heavily on their ability to get to the rim and create. He will have to learn to control the game better and make better decisions, especially in the half court as well in order to be called a pure point guard.

If he ever takes the weight room serious! He will be physically gifted because I see he has the build around his shoulder area to become massive.

As a Jazz fan I’m caustiously excited, he’s young so there is good reason to feel he will only get better, he has great size for the point and as he gets stronger and learns the game better he will be tough. I think Favors learned alot last year and went into this off season determined to improve, Kanter didn’t have an off season last year due to his shoulder surgery, so  he plans on working hard and improving too, especially he wants to shoot tons of 3’s so he can use the 3 in his arsenal .  Burks and Burke are both young and determined to improve also, this young team is frustrating at times but most of the time I enjoy watching them and cheering for their improvement, it’s usually fun even with the losses. I look forward to seeing Exum and Hood in summer league, that will give an idea of what to expect.

Just got finished watching the game. After watching the game I come away with more questions about him as a SG. This will be very interesting if he beats out Burks. Exum’s game is tailor made around him being ball dominant. Playing off the ball will do him no justice in Utah, if they expect him to play with Burke. I think it’s best he comes in to relieve Burke of his PG duties.

What I do like about his play, is his ability to recover quick on defense and fight around the ball screens. He showed the ability to clean up around the rim as well on a putback "slam". Offensively he must get a left hand because as far as I can see, it was on a milk carton. Passing ability is above average especially with the vision in the open court.

Exum doesn’t have it yet as a 2-Guard, especially moving without the ball. He does not come off ball screens hard at all and is very stagnant on the perimeter.

I agee with alot of what you said, at times I liked what I saw and at times I didn’t, I don’t think he is going to be a 2 guard, he is a point, the only way he can be dominant or a potential all star/all pro is as a point. I don’t know what the Jazz have in mind but personally I think they will start him coming off the bench behind Burke and playing some 2, it all depends on how he plays. He is young and will take some time to develop and learn.

Although he did some things very well…  He’s oozing of potential, but the doubter in me says his competition wasn’t that good…  I can’t wait until Summer League, so he can finally rid me of my worries…

I think Exum and Burke will compliment each other well. Burke is scoring guard and can shoot the ball. Exum can drive to the basket with Heyward and Burke spacing the court. Not saying Exum will be the point, but Burke can play some off guard and still guard the PGs. Burke and Exum attacking the basket would be hard to guard.
