Obviously with the injury, it doesn’t look like Embiid is going #1. Here’s how I think each team is thinking.

Cavs) Looking for production now/can’t take risk of another top pick going bust

Bucks) Once again, looking for someone to produce next year

Sixers) If Noel was not on the team, then maybe. But it seems counter productive to have two pure center rookies next year. Especially if both have injury concerns

Magic) With Vucevic already an above average center, no need to take risk on Embiid if other valuable players are available

Jazz) Made a concerted effort last year to de-clog the frontcourt. Think they need a wing more than another big man

Celtics) I think he falls here. Ainge will have no problem selecting Embiid. The Celtics need a direction at this point, and Embiid is a definite way to go. Tangent, I think Rondo gets traded to the Kings for 8th pick and Mclemore.

So, where do you see Embiid going? I feel like it could be anywhere, although I don’t see him falling past 6

There have been reports in the past couple of hours that teams might trade up to go get him.

I personally don’t think he drops past Philly

Cleveland.  There is even a growing consensus that Cleveland has a deal either at 3 or 4 to pick Embiid plus a veteran to improve the team immediately.

I still think he goes to Philly at #3, although I wouldn’t be shocked to see Exum land there too.

We will find our tomorrow evening, I’m done reporting and speculating on the draft. I’m ready to sit back and watch it go down

If you haven’t been able to tell I’m a Celtics fan (probably already could tell), sorry for my bias :). In terms of trades, could you see the Celtics trade up? You think the Magic would give them the #4 pick for Rondo and a future pick? Would the Bucks take Rondo and #6? If Rondo is actually being talked around in trade scenarios, then Celtics have really good assets. Only problem, not a lot of teams are looking to fill the PG position.

I’m obviously a jazz fan, but I think because the Jazz have Favors and Kanter at the 4/5, Embid could be someone they take a chance on.  Why they may not is they have too many needs to "waste" one on a position they already have.  But think about it, they don’t need him to come in next year and play, they have 4/5 locked up, so by that thinking he doesn’t make it to your celtics.

Jazz are also reported to be trying hard to get his medical data…
